This is a celebration for generations of students and trainees of the School to express their respect and gratitude to generations of teachers – the silent "boatmen" with the mission of nurturing the intellect, knowledge, and character of the younger generation for the future development of the country. Many individuals and units of the School were honored with awards at various levels on this occasion. Also during the ceremony, the Decision appointing the Principal of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities was announced.

He then stated: "The thousand-year history of our nation has shown that teaching is a noble profession because the product of teaching is human beings. If an engineer rejoices at seeing the bridge they have just built, and a farmer smiles at the rice field they have just planted, then a teacher is delighted to see their students grow and mature. However, to achieve that result, it requires not only intellect but also a heart."
Upon receiving a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the school's leadership, Professor Vu Duong Ninh (Chairman of the School's Retired Teachers Association) emotionally expressed: "I sincerely thank the school and send my warmest congratulations to all teachers on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20th. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the veteran teachers who have gone through many difficult periods with the school to build the University of Social Sciences and Humanities into the prestigious institution it is today."

Dr. Lena (a young lecturer in the Faculty of International Studies) expressed her gratitude to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – where she has been associated for 17 years – and to her teachers, friends, and colleagues: “If I had to use three words to describe the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, they would be warmth, love, and care.” She shared about her own efforts and those of her colleagues to become responsible lecturers in teaching and research, continuing to inspire and impart knowledge to students.

Principal Pham Quang Minh presented the appointment decision for the Principal of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu. The High School for Social Sciences and Humanities is a public educational institution within the national education system and the Hanoi city's high school system. The school is organized and operates according to the current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, and is under the direct guidance and management of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities regarding organization, teaching staff, facilities, finance, student recruitment, and training; it is also under the management of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training regarding the implementation of educational programs and plans, graduation examinations, and diploma issuance. For the upcoming academic year, the school will enroll students in specialized classes in Literature, History, and Geography.
This is the fourth high school affiliated with Hanoi National University, alongside the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences (affiliated with the University of Natural Sciences), the High School for Gifted Students in Foreign Languages (affiliated with the University of Foreign Languages), and the High School for Educational Sciences (affiliated with the University of Education).
The Faculty of Sociology is one of seven collectives of Vietnam National University, Hanoi that received the Emulation Flag from the Ministry of Education and Training for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Innovation and Creativity in Teaching and Learning".
