In response to Youth Month with the theme “Youth Volunteers”, celebrating the 88th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2019); with the theme “Calling the sun back, giving love”, “Humanistic Pink Sunshine” is a festival for volunteers.
The festival not only had the enthusiastic participation of students from the Faculty of Humanities but also attracted students from many universities such as the University of Natural Sciences, University of Architecture, etc. At the same time, the program also received the full support and response from lecturers and staff in the school. All stages were carefully prepared from the registration desk, the care area before and during blood donation to the care table after blood donation.
On the same morning, the festival had 200 people successfully donating blood with nearly 1,000 people registering to participate. On each blood donation bed, each face had a different emotion, but no one could hide their pride in having donated meaningful drops of blood. You always had bright smiles, making the atmosphere of the Blood Donation Festival even more exciting.
Nearly 20 blood donation beds are continuously operating in the E103 self-study room with volunteers highly focused and working with all their energy. Each blood donation bed has at least one volunteer beside them to encourage and chat, helping blood donors feel somewhat secure and forget their fear of “needle needles”.
At the end of the 10th Voluntary Blood Donation Festival, the number of blood units collected was 424. This is the highest number in 10 Sunny seasons - the number of kind hearts, of precious blood units brought back to save patients in need of blood. This success must be attributed to the enthusiastic support of all teachers, staff of the School, students of Humanities, and students outside the school who came to participate in the program.
The 11th Voluntary Blood Donation Festival promises to return with more complete and stronger organization and activities next November.
