At the meeting, Principal Professor Pham Quang Minh shared about the University's interest in Korean Studies since the 1990s, when Vietnam and Korea had not yet officially established diplomatic relations. By organizing scientific seminars and other academic activities, the University's scientists have contributed their voices to promoting the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Very quickly, in less than 3 decades, the relationship between Vietnam and Korea has made great strides. Currently, the demand for studying and learning about Korean language and culture in Vietnam is increasing and the University is one of the leading institutions in the country in researching and training Korean Studies.
Mr. Kim Swang-Soo said he was impressed by the sincerity and affection of the Vietnamese people for Korea. Vietnam and Korea have many cultural and social similarities, and have increasingly developed cooperative relations in all fields. Vietnamese people are friendly, hard-working, full of potential and always looking towards the future. The Korean Global Leadership Research Forum will make every effort to successfully implement cooperation programs with the University.
