Meeting with former Youth Union officials: It felt like youth came back.

Attending the "March Meeting" program were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh (Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee); Dr. Truong Ngoc Kiem (Secretary of the Youth Union of Hanoi National University); Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi (Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University of Science); Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), former Youth Union officials from various periods, and Youth Union members and students from both universities.

The program began with musical performances: "The Energetic Youth," "The Flag," and "Proud Melody," presented by members of the Youth Union and students from the University of Natural Sciences and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

At the program, delegates reviewed the glorious and heroic traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Hanoi, now the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Attendees highly appreciated the initiative of the Youth Unions of both universities in organizing the March reunion program for generations of Youth Union officials. This demonstrates respect for the past and also serves as an opportunity to strengthen connections, share experiences, and inspire the younger generation of Youth Union members to promote a pioneering and creative spirit, contributing to overall development.

Former Youth Union officials shared a wealth of information, recounting stories about the history of the Youth Union at the University, the advantages, difficulties, and activities of the Youth Union throughout different periods. They noted that the current generation of young people possesses many strengths, is very dynamic and creative, and conveyed many messages to the current generation of Youth Union members at both universities, such as: be committed and have a spirit of service and dedication; boldly propose research directions; choose jobs that suit the specific characteristics, position, and aspirations of Youth Union members;…

Speaking at the event, Professor Nguyen Van Noi stated that the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the University of Natural Sciences always support, agree with, and highly appreciate the joint activities between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Unions of the two member universities in organizing the March Meeting program. This program has profound educational significance in preserving traditions and creates favorable conditions for former Youth Union officials of different generations to meet, interact, and share experiences in Youth Union work throughout various periods. Professor Nguyen Van Noi hoped that in the future, the Youth Unions of the two universities would continue to organize more collaborative activities and make the "March Meeting" program an annual event.

On behalf of the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Professor Nguyen Van Kim stated that the key tasks identified by the Youth Union include: educating and fostering revolutionary ethics among young people, leveraging the advantages of social media to educate young people on revolutionary ideals; focusing on training and supporting young people in various fields, further improving the quality of Youth Union cadres in conjunction with scientific research, and elevating the position of Hanoi National University in general, and the University of Natural Sciences and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular, to become leading universities in research.

Before concluding the program, the Secretaries of the Youth Union of the University of Science and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed their joy and emotion at attending the traditional meeting of former Youth Union officials, "March Meeting." Dr. Dao Sy Duc extended his most sincere thanks for the support of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of both universities; and for the teachers and former Youth Union officials from all periods who took the time to attend the program. Dr. Dao Sy Duc wished good health to the former Youth Union officials and hoped that in the future they would always have time to participate in future meetings and exchanges between the youth of the two universities.

On behalf of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Tran Bach Hieu stated that attending the traditional meeting, meeting and listening to the stories shared by the senior members, gives today's young generation more motivation to strive and excel in their work and life. At the same time, the current Youth Union officials feel a responsibility to live up to the traditions and expectations of the previous generations of Youth Union officials.

The "March Meeting" program, bringing together generations of Youth Union officials from different periods, has truly become a practical activity for generations of Youth Union officials to interact, share experiences in Youth Union work, and pass on the flame and enthusiasm, adding to the vibrant spirit of the youth of the two universities.
