Vice Principal Nguyen Van Kim received the Director of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Southeast Asia Office

On March 19, 2019, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and representatives of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Policy and Management received and worked with Mr. Philip Degenhardt - Director of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Office in Southeast Asia.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim expressed his thanks and appreciation for the cooperation opportunities that the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation (Federal Republic of Germany) has given to the School, from 2001 to present. As the unit directly implementing projects with the Foundation, the Institute of Policy and Management (formerly the Center for Policy Research and Analysis) has actively implemented projects that have made important contributions to opening up research and training directions on policy and management, science and education of the School.

In an interview with the Director of the Fund, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Director of the Institute of Policy and Management) expected that in the coming time, the Fund will continue to cooperate with the Institute to implement interdisciplinary research projects from the approach of economic - ecological - social transition, joint training activities with German experts and especially current social policy consulting activities in Vietnam. At the same time, in 2019, the Institute of Policy and Management will increase the publication of research within the framework of the cooperation project with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.

Also during the working trip to the school, Mr. Philip Degenhardt and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong signed two project agreements for 2019. Mr. Philip expressed: “This is the first cooperation project of the Foundation signed this year with a partner in Southeast Asia. We believe in the development of a long-term and sustainable cooperative relationship with the Institute of Policy and Management in the future, especially in the field of policy and management”. The delegation of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation also visited the Museum of Anthropology and learned more about the research and training activities of the School.
