Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh attended the ENHANCE conference

From October 25-27, 2017, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) led the University's delegation to attend the workshop "Exploitation and commercialization: Evaluation of scientific research and creation of startup models" and the discussion "Promoting the application of scientific research results at universities through startup models".

This is an activity under the Project on Enhancing Innovation and Research Capacity in Vietnam (ENHANCE) in which the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a participating member.

These two academic events aim to create a discussion forum between university leaders and businesses to propose better policies for startup models. The conference introduces typical successful studies, startup models in European countries, explores the advantages and difficulties of creating startup models, solutions to connect universities and businesses, and university support for startup models.

This is also an opportunity for domestic and foreign delegates to exchange ideas to enhance scientific research capacity, technology transfer linked with businesses and create a premise for students' start-up ideas.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and MSc. Luong Ngoc Vinh (Deputy Head of the Department of Cooperation and Development) took a souvenir photo with delegates from various countries at the seminar.

Representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities presented the report "Research Evaluation at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU" at the workshop.

The ENHANCE (Strengthening National Research and Innovation Capacities in Vietnam) project is funded by the Erasmus Plus Program and the European Union, operating since February 2016. The project includes 03 member universities from Europe: Alicante University (Spain), Glasgow Caledonian University (Scotland), Bratislava Technical University (Slovakia) and 06 universities from Vietnam: Thai Nguyen University, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang University and Can Tho University with the coordination of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam.

The Project aims to enhance the scientific research and innovation capacity of universities in Vietnam. The Project organized the first training workshop and discussion at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi from October 1-4, 2016; the second at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry from February 22-24, 2017; the third at An Giang University from May 16-18, 2017 and the fourth from October 25-26, 2017 at Can Tho University.
