According to the cooperation agreement, the two universities will aim for international cooperation to enhance the quality of training and research at each institution. They will jointly promote understanding of sustainable development and social inclusion at the national and international levels; establish programs, courses, and research projects to meet societal needs at the local, regional, and national levels. In the long term, the two universities will work towards establishing research groups in the field of Social Work, proposing research projects, publishing jointly, and co-organizing international seminars and conferences. They will also collaborate in providing online and offline programs in Social Work and Criminology at the Master's and Doctoral levels.
Specific collaborative activities between the two sides include: establishing one or more short-term Master's programs and/or courses in health, social work, and criminalization; conducting student and faculty exchanges in social work; and receiving faculty members from the University to attend short-term courses or doctoral training programs in social work. Starting from the field of social work, the two sides will expand cooperation into other social science fields, aiming for international educational solutions for ASEAN and Asian students.

Founded in 1977, the University of Gävle is a medium-sized university with a global network of connections. It offers nearly 50 full degree programs and 800 elective courses. The five main areas of specialization taught here are mathematics, natural sciences and computer science, technology, social sciences and humanities, education, and healthcare.
