Attending the closing ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Le Kim Anh (Vice Rector of the University of Foreign Languages), along with representatives from various departments (Student Affairs and Student Activities, Youth Union, etc.) of both universities... On the side of the Center for National Defense and Security Education were Colonel Duong Van Chien (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Center), and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Manh Ha (Head of the Training and Student Management Department).
Amidst the scorching heat and thunderstorms of late August 2022, the demanding study schedule, especially for the female students, was challenging. However, the students' enthusiasm and the instructors' dedicated guidance were always evident. Overcoming the harsh and unpredictable weather, which affected their training time, 1415 students successfully completed their tasks and concluded the course.
In his concluding remarks, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Manh Ha emphasized that the 66th, 70th, and 71st courses in National Defense and Security Education (with 1,404 students, including 162 students from the University of Foreign Languages and 1,242 students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) took place under unpredictable weather conditions (hot sun, thunderstorms), with a large number of participants (including students from the University of Foreign Languages and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), and a majority of female students. However, overcoming all these difficulties, 100% of the students participating in the course were well-prepared to seriously implement the course plan, strictly adhere to the regulations and rules of the Center, and strictly follow the daily and weekly routines. 100% of the students strictly followed the discipline and regulations of the subject, and the unit maintained absolute safety. No students violated discipline and required disciplinary action. The students all made great efforts to overcome difficulties, striving to meet the Center's requirements for learning and training conditions, and quickly adapting to the daily routine and training schedule.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector) congratulated all the students on successfully and safely completing the course, and for creating many beautiful memories during their 15 days together. This was a large-scale activity involving the concentration of students in accommodation, living, and studying National Defense and Security after the Covid-19 pandemic, which naturally caused concern for the university. However, after witnessing the students' training, their growth, and the results recorded in the course summary report, the faculty were truly delighted. The students demonstrated that students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities are not only academically excellent, dynamic, modern, and humane, but also disciplined, serious, and possess a spirit of solidarity, love, and mutual support in completing their tasks. Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong also expressed her sincere gratitude for the Center's thoughtful support and provision of all-round resources, and the dedicated guidance, instruction, and encouragement from the teachers and lecturers wearing military uniforms. With a high sense of responsibility and dedication to their beloved students, they have helped the students of the university have successful and memorable days of study and training.
Also at the ceremony, 2 groups and 20 students were awarded certificates of merit for their outstanding achievements in completing the 66th, 70th, and 71st National Defense and Security Education courses (of which 18 out of 20 students were from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities).
In her speech, Chau Giang shared: "Although the 15 days of training at the Center weren't long, we gained some understanding of the lives of soldiers in the Vietnam People's Army and experienced what 'military discipline' means. Living in a collective environment, studying, training, and living together helped each student mature and become more responsible towards themselves and their comrades, thereby contributing to a stronger spirit of solidarity, friendship, and sharing. Furthermore, this experience also fostered our love for our homeland and our awareness of protecting the country. The 15 days of training not only helped us students accumulate a lot of knowledge about military and political matters, but more importantly, it marked a fundamental transformation in our awareness, attitude, and responsibility towards ourselves and the group, signifying the maturity of each student."

The course concluded with a spectacular Gala night. Fifteen companies presented fifteen outstanding performances in less than a week, taking advantage of breaks from training on the field until bedtime. But everything was perfect; the participants gave their all with vibrant mashups like "A Date with Spring," "Youthful Dance," and the Kalinka folk dance, or moved by performances recreating the nation's heroic past with poignant and tragic musical dramas like "Legend of the Mother" (praising the heroic Vietnamese Mother), the song "Cuc ơi" (praising the ten girls of Dong Loc Crossroads), and the spirited performances of "Wake Up and Go," "Vietnamese Hearts," and "The Homeland Calls My Name"...
