For the 5.3 million Vietnamese people living abroad, preserving the Vietnamese language holds special meaning and importance, as it serves as a driving force and a unifying link within the community and with their homeland.
According to experts, the training program has been significantly improved based on the experience of previous years, and the teaching methods have undergone many improvements.
The training course on teaching Vietnamese to Vietnamese teachers abroad was first organized in 2013. This year marks the 9th time the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has organized this program. After 10 years, the program has attracted the participation of more than 800 Vietnamese teachers abroad, making a positive contribution to the development of the Vietnamese language teaching and learning movement in many overseas Vietnamese communities.
