Receiving the Ambassador of New Zealand to Vietnam

On May 13th, Associate Professor Vu Duc Nghieu, Vice Rector of the University, met and worked with Ms. Heather Mhairi Riddell, Ambassador of New Zealand to Vietnam.
On May 13th, Associate Professor Vu Duc Nghieu, Vice Rector of the University, met and worked with Ms. Heather Mhairi Riddell, Ambassador of New Zealand to Vietnam.The Vice Rector and the Ambassador discussed opportunities for cooperation in research and training between New Zealand universities and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Associate Professor Vu Duc Nghieu expressed his hope that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities would have the opportunity to cooperate with New Zealand universities in several specialized fields such as Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, etc. The New Zealand Ambassador stated that scholarship opportunities for Vietnamese students to study in New Zealand this year will be expanded, including a scholarship program specifically for Vietnam. She affirmed that she would soon contact and propose to New Zealand universities to cooperate with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities based on the University's proposal, which includes: joint research and exchange to develop programs in new fields of study, cooperation in organizing seminars on urbanization issues, social issues, etc. The Vice Rector thanked the Ambassador for visiting the university and hoped that the Ambassador would continue to be a bridge to promote cooperative relations between the universities. On this occasion, the Vice Rector also extended an invitation to the Ambassador to speak to the university's students about international issues.
