To commemorate the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek a path to national salvation (June 5, 1911 – June 5, 2011), four student unions from the Faculties of Philosophy, History, Management Science, and Political Science jointly organized the second "Understanding Ho Chi Minh's Thought" competition. The competition consisted of four main parts: Warm-up - Obstacle Course - Talent - and Oratory. In the first and second parts, the teams were evenly matched, confidently and excellently answering questions about Ho Chi Minh's ideology. In the Talent section, the teams showcased their talents through diverse forms: a theatrical performance by the Faculty of History and the Department of Political Science, a storytelling performance by the Faculty of Philosophy, and a solo performance by the Faculty of Management Science. In the Oratory section, most teams adhered closely to the theme, and no team exceeded the time limit. At the end of the competition, the award for the best talent went to the Faculty of Philosophy, which also won the oratory award. With a total score of 232 points, the Faculty of Philosophy won first place in the "Understanding Ho Chi Minh's Ideology" competition. Second place went to the Faculty of History, and third place was shared by the Faculty of Management Science and the Department of Political Science. In addition, the Student Union also presented each participating team with a gift. The award for the most impressive cheering squad was given to the Department of Political Science.

The "Understanding Ho Chi Minh's Ideology" competition is an opportunity for each student union member to check and evaluate their "learning" process, as well as to demonstrate actions that "follow" the moral example of Ho Chi Minh. It is also an opportunity for the four student union branches to interact, exchange ideas, and learn from each other.
