Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a leading university in training and research in the social sciences and humanities. The university currently has 17 faculties, 12 centers and research institutes, as well as over 10,000 students and trainees at various levels and training programs. In 1995, the University established the Department of Chinese Studies under the Faculty of Oriental Studies and has been providing training from bachelor's to doctoral levels in Chinese Studies. Many Chinese students have studied subjects such as International Studies, Vietnamese Studies, and Vietnamese language at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the framework of 1+3 and 2+2 training programs. The University hopes to further expand its cooperation with Guangxi University of Science and Technology through activities such as organizing international conferences, student and faculty exchanges, and conducting joint research projects.
Dr. Li Yanzhou expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Guangxi University of Science and Technology, and his desire to promote cooperative relations with the University. Dr. Li Yanzhou proposed several areas of cooperation, such as short-term student exchanges between the two sides. Guangxi University of Science and Technology will support the costs and accommodation for Vietnamese students visiting Guangxi and other provinces such as Guilin and Liuzhou.
Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan pledged that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities would create favorable conditions for the implementation of the aforementioned cooperation proposals. At the same time, the University will promote information about Guangxi University of Science and Technology to all its staff, lecturers, and students. The Cooperation and Development Department will act as the liaison between the two sides.
