During the meeting, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan and Professor Andrew Hardy reviewed the results of the cooperation between the French School of Far Eastern Studies in Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities over the past period.
EFEO Hanoi has made practical contributions to introducing new research trends, perspectives, and scientific schools of thought, thereby contributing to the development of the Vietnamese social sciences and humanities in general. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has closely collaborated with EFEO in many academic activities such as: organizing research programs on villages in the Red River Delta; organizing seminars in the Red River Delta region; organizing discussions on medieval European literature and modern-contemporary Vietnamese literature; introducing the trilingual epic poem Luc Van Tien; organizing exchanges and discussions on academic fields between France and Vietnam... These collaborative activities aim to build and develop the Vietnamese social sciences and humanities in a direction of innovation, modernization, and international integration.

During the exchange with Professor Andrew Hardy, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his sincere gratitude for EFEO's contributions to the development of Vietnamese social sciences and humanities, as well as to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Rector hoped that Professor Andrew Hardy would continue to provide support and assistance to the University in training and developing young scientists; cooperate in organizing academic conferences and seminars; and collaborate on international research and publication projects. Professor Andrew Hardy expressed his honor and commitment to continue acting as a bridge between the two sides in the coming years.
