At the meeting, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan and Professor Andrew Hardy reviewed the results of the cooperation between the French School of the Far East in Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in recent times.
EFEO Hanoi has made practical contributions to introducing new research trends, new perspectives and scientific schools, thereby contributing to promoting the development of Vietnamese social sciences and humanities in general. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has closely coordinated with EFEO in many academic activities such as: organizing research programs on villages in the Red River Delta, organizing seminars in the Red River Delta; organizing seminars on medieval European literature and modern Vietnamese literature; introducing the trilingual poem Luc Van Tien; organizing exchanges and discussions on academic fields between France and Vietnam... These cooperative activities aim to build and develop Vietnamese social sciences and humanities in the direction of innovation, modernization and international integration.
In a conversation with Prof. Andrew Hardy, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his sincere thanks for EFEO's contributions to the development of Vietnam's Social Sciences and Humanities as well as to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Rector hopes that Prof. Andrew Hardy will continue to create conditions and support for the University to train and foster young scientists; cooperate in organizing seminars and academic discussions; coordinate the implementation of international research and publication projects. Prof. Andrew Hardy expressed his honor and commitment to continue to be a bridge between the two sides in the coming years.
