The ceremony was attended by a large number of faculty members from all generations of the department, from its founding to the present day. Some joined the department from its early days as the Vietnamese Language Unit in 1959, such as Associate Professor Dr. Do Thanh, while others, like Ms. Nguyen Thi Mien, now 86 years old, served as treasurer when the department was a relatively independent unit, teaching and supporting international students. Representatives of Vietnamese and international students studying at the department were also present from early morning, making the gathering even warmer and more meaningful.

Following the students' celebratory dance and singing performance for the faculty, a speech was given by a representative of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. Mr. Nguyen Thien Nam, the Dean, expressed his gratitude and best wishes for good health to all generations of teachers who have worked or are currently working at the Faculty, especially the veteran teachers over 70 and 80 years old. He also reported on some of the Faculty's recent achievements and future plans. The Dean emphasized: “Currently, the Faculty is training nearly 250 Vietnamese students and around 250 international students from over 30 countries in Bachelor's programs in Vietnamese Studies, Agreement programs, and short-term programs. This means we must improve the quality of teaching and research of our faculty. The Faculty's '10 Good' strategy continues to be implemented and has yielded clear results.”
"Good teachers, good students,
Good program, good curriculum.
Good research, good application.
Good International Relations, Good Professionalism
