The delegation from the University included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Hai (Head of the Faculty of Management Science), Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Management Science), and Ms. Nguyen Minh Nguyet (External Relations Department – International Cooperation).
Established in 1991, the University of South Australia (UniSA) is an international university with over 34,000 students, nearly one-third of whom are international students from 88 countries around the world. With over 20 years of operation, UniSA is ranked 23rd in the world (3rd in Australia) among universities under 50 years old by the QS World University Ranking. UniSA has five main campuses with modern teaching and learning facilities designed to meet the development needs of a world-class university: City West Campus, City East Campus, Magin Campus, Mawson Lakes Campus, and Whyalla Campus. UniSA is also renowned for its eight research institutes, thirteen research centres, and a staff of 2,287 people. UniSA offers over 300 academic programs, taught across four schools – the School of Commerce; the School of Education, Arts and Social Sciences; Medical School; School of Information Technology, Engineering and Environment.

During their visit to the University of South Australia, the delegation met with Professor Kurt Lushington (Chancellor) and Ms. Sue Johnston (Head of International Cooperation at the School of Education, Arts and Social Sciences, University of South Australia). During the meeting, Professor Kurt Lushington expressed particular interest in the possibility of future collaboration between the two universities to establish a joint master's degree program.Public policyUnder the agreement, the University of South Australia will design the curriculum, send lecturers to participate in the training, and award degrees to students. Thus, graduates of the course will meet the output standards and receive a degree from the University of South Australia. In addition, Professor Kurt Lushington will also send textbooks and reference materials on Australian technology transfer research to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and will act as a liaison between professors and training units within the University of South Australia with strengths in technology transfer and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi. This is because Australia is a highly developed country in science and technology and has achieved many great successes in supporting and transferring advanced scientific and technological fields to developing countries like Vietnam.

Furthermore, as agreed upon by the leaders of the two universities, around April next year, the University of South Australia will send lecturers to organize a seminar and teach at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on several issues related to technology transfer: experiences from Australia and some countries around the world; and also participate in the scientific conference commemorating the 40th anniversary of Vietnam's unification, integration, and development.
During the aforementioned trip, the delegation also held a meeting with Mr. Stan Astachnowicz, Head of International Cooperation at the University of South Australia's School of Commerce. During the meeting, Mr. Stan Astachnowicz expressed great interest in the possibility of the University of South Australia's School of Commerce collaborating with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to open joint training programs in the near future, when the ASEAN Community is established in 2015, to attract students not only from Vietnam but also from other countries in the region.
The visit and working trip to the University of South Australia by the delegation from the University, led by Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh, concluded successfully and opened up concrete areas for cooperation in research and joint training between the two universities in the future.
