Sponsored by the Korean Literature Translation Institute, the competition is open to students nationwide who love Korean literature. The aim is to encourage young people to express their passion for reading and to bring outstanding Korean literary works closer to Vietnamese readers.
This year, the work chosen for review is the novel "Blow, Wind, Blow" by author Kim Hye Jung, translated by Nguyen Thi Nga.


Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh (Vice Rector of the University) highly appreciated the significance of the competition, stating that it is a beneficial and interesting playground that helps students gain a deeper understanding of Korean literature and culture.
At the ceremony, Dr. Ha Minh Thanh (Department of Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies), representing the Judging Panel and Organizing Committee of the competition, stated: This is the 10th year of the Korean Literature Appreciation Contest. The Department of Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, is proud to host this contest annually. To date, the contest has become a unique brand of the Department of Korean Studies and has attracted increasing interest and affection from young people.

Dr. Ha Minh Thanh (Department of Korean Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities) stated: the competition is increasingly receiving attention and affection from students nationwide.
This year's competition received 215 entries from students of many major universities such as Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City; Hanoi University; and Ho Chi Minh City University of Law… Not only did it attract students majoring in Korean language and culture, but the competition also saw active participation from students in literature, sociology, international relations, and economics… Beyond the diverse range of participants, the entries also demonstrated a richness in their perspectives and creativity in their interpretations of the works. Notably, the translator of the book is Nguyen Thi Nga, a fourth-year student majoring in Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
At the awards ceremony, the competition organizers announced the winners:
- Luong Phan Hong Ngoc (K58, majoring in Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Culture and Social Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh (Vice Rector of the University) presented the first prize to Luong Phan Hong Ngoc. She is the student who has won first prize in the Korean literature appreciation competition for two consecutive years.
- Huynh Thi To Nhu (University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology).
- Vu Tien Dat (K56, majoring in Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities).

Dr. Luu Tuan Anh presented the second prize to Phan Tien Dat, a student majoring in Korean Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
- Tang Thi Tra (Department of Korean Language and Culture, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
- Pham Tu Anh (Department of Korean Language, Hanoi University).
- Thuy Duong Mausoleum (K57 High-Quality Literature Program, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

Professor Yoo Baig Youl presents the third prize to the students.
- Tran Thi Quynh Nhu (Ho Chi Minh City University of Law).
- Truong Ngoc Phuong Thanh (Ho Chi Minh City Banking Academy).
- Tran Thi Ngoc (Department of Korean Language and Culture, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
- Nguyen Thi Lan Anh (Department of Korean Language and Culture, University of Foreign Languages, VNU Hanoi).
- Ha Thi Thanh Huyen (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM).
