
During the meeting, Vice Rector of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) Nguyen Hoang Hai stated that the training scale of Fudan University and VNU share many similarities, and Fudan University's role in China is similar to VNU's role in Vietnam. In 2019, Vietnam and China restarted scientific and educational cooperation projects under the Protocol, with the support of both governments. Vice Rector Nguyen Hoang Hai expressed his desire for practical and concrete collaborative links between the two universities in science and training.

Rector Pham Quang Minh stated: "The University and Fudan University have had many academic exchanges. To date, many faculty and students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have participated in programs organized by Fudan University. The professor highly appreciates these programs because they create valuable opportunities for exchange among the University's students and faculty. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a long-established and reputable institution for training in social sciences and humanities, especially with its Department of Oriental Studies and the Center for Chinese Studies, which specializes in research on Chinese language and culture."

Ms. Jiao Yang (Party Committee Secretary and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Fudan University) stated: Fudan University is a long-established, multidisciplinary university specializing in Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Biomedical Sciences. With the mission entrusted to it by the Chinese government, Fudan University has strived to build and develop itself not only into one of China's leading universities but also among the world's top universities. With a research-oriented development focus, Fudan University currently has between 14,000 and 20,000 graduate students. Fudan University aims to attract 5,000 outstanding scientists from around the world for research and training.
