At the consultation program, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, the General Department of Vocational Education (Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs) and major universities nationwide provided high school students with information about the national high school exam and university and college admissions in 2019.
ProgrammeAdmissions consulting - career guidancep consists of three parts: General consultation section to provide the latest information on the national high school exam, university and college admissions in 2019; Consultation section by each career group; Direct admission consultation section, in which 12th grade students can meet and ask questions to admissions consultants of the university they are interested in.
Located in the admissions consulting area of Hanoi National University, the consulting counter of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities always has a large number of young people lining up to wait their turn. Many of the school’s “hot” majors such as Journalism, Public Relations, Oriental Studies, Japanese Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Hotel Management, Psychology, Management Science, etc. are of particular interest to candidates. They are interested in many issues, from training programs, learning conditions to job opportunities, etc.
Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) directly consults young people interested in the field of social sciences and humanities.
Sharing with the press agencies in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan said: in 2019, the enrollment target of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities increased slightly, mainly to meet the enrollment for newly opened majors and some majors that are in high demand in society. Currently, the University also opens more training majors in the direction of socialization such as Information Management, Journalism, Management Science... In particular, this year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has opened a new major on the basis of separating a major of the Faculty of Oriental Studies into an independent major, training in the direction of regional studies, which is Japanese Studies. Like the Southeast Asian Studies major that the University pioneered in recruiting for the first time in 2018, Japanese Studies is expected to attract great attention from learners in this year's enrollment season with very positive career prospects.
When asked about the concerns of young people today in choosing a career, Vice Principal Hoang Anh Tuan said: If in the past, students often chose a career based on their feelings or on advice and recommendations from relatives, nowadays, young people have become more practical and more interested in the direct benefits that their training career brings to their future. In particular, the generation of students born in 2001 who will take the university entrance exam this year has a deep awareness of the future career associated with their long-term life. They are more courageous and responsible for their lives and choices.
