Vingroup awards 30 billion VND scholarships to students of Hanoi National University

The cooperation agreement between Vingroup and VNU is part of the Group's comprehensive cooperation with leading universities in Vietnam, focusing on the Vingroup Young Talent Scholarship Program - helping students have the opportunity to gain practical experience under a special program at the Group.

As a high-quality multidisciplinary, multi-field training and scientific and technological research center, prioritized by the State for investment and development, VNU has outstanding strengths in training fields such as business administration, tourism, foreign languages, pedagogy, medicine, biotechnology, etc. These are also fields that are suitable for Vingroup's core areas of operation: real estate, resort tourism, retail, healthcare, education and agriculture.

Therefore, the focus of the Agreement is on a “localized” training program to ensure that graduates have practical work skills, a clear career orientation and high adaptability to the business environment.

To realize this goal, Vingroup announced a Young Talent Scholarship Fund worth 30 billion VND for VNU students with excellent academic achievements, studying in majors suitable to the Group's human resource recruitment policy.

Accordingly, students receiving scholarships will participate in internship programs and training in specialized working skills, and have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional, fast-paced, and efficient business environment at businesses in the Vingroup ecosystem. Upon graduation, students will be awarded a diploma from VNU and a practice certificate at Vingroup. Outstanding new graduates will have the opportunity to work at Vingroup, especially the opportunity to participate in the Vingroup Future Leaders Program. This is a program to find talented new graduates to train and develop into the next generation of grassroots leaders for the Group.

In addition to cooperating to “immerse” students of a leading Vietnamese university in the most dynamic business environment in Vietnam, the agreement also aims to attract international partners to implement a number of special research programs with practical application potential, as a premise for promoting the establishment of Vingroup International University in the future.

Previously, in January 2016, Vingroup signed a cooperation agreement with the National Economics University and established a Young Talent Scholarship Fund worth 30 billion VND for the university's students. By signing with VNU, Vingroup continues to affirm its long-term commitment to the field of education, as well as its strategic and humane vision for the young generation of Vietnam, contributing to the mission of "For a better life for Vietnamese people".

The participation of enterprises in the training process of university students is a trend that is being encouraged by the Government. This is both a method and a goal to shorten the gap between training and reality, increasing the development of science - technology and higher education in Vietnam.
