Taking viewers from one surprise to another, the freshmen of K69 – the youngest members of the VNU-USSH family – showcased their talent, stage presence, and especially their wonderful humanistic identity in each performance at the Freshman Welcome Gala titled The Debut 2024, held last night, November 17, 2024.
Previously, in September 2024, the Freshman Welcome Gala of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was postponed to share in the losses of people in the North during Typhoon Yaghi. And to welcome the new faces – the K69 freshmen – the Gala, titled The Debut 2024, was meticulously prepared, providing a stage for the freshmen to shine.

The Debut – a term commonly used in the arts and entertainment industry, meaning "first appearance" – also perfectly encapsulated the dazzling and explosive debut of K69. Last night, the auditorium on the 8th floor of building E served as the brilliant stage for K69 to greet their teachers, seniors, and friends through spectacular and meticulously prepared artistic performances, showcasing the talent, youthful energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and dynamism of the new generation of VNU-USSH students.
Congratulations to the teams that won prizes from the Organizing Committee:
- First Prize: Faculty of Tourism Studies and Faculty of Sociology.
- Second Prize: Department of Religious Studies and Faculty of History.
- Third Prize: Faculty of Literature, Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, Faculty of International Studies, Faculty of Anthropology, Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, Faculty of Linguistics.
- Honorable Mention: Faculty of Management Science, Faculty of Information and Library Science, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Faculty of Political Science, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities.

The judges praised the impressive performances of the competing teams.

The emotionally charged and highly skillful dance performance by students from the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities brought excitement and enthusiastic applause from the entire audience.

“Footsteps of Connection” – a performance from the Faculty of Management Science – received enthusiastic applause from the entire audience with a story about the power of friendship and the connection of “success stemming from shared potential.”


The emotional and inspiring performance by the Sociology students brought the auditorium on the 8th floor to a frenzy of excitement.

The "Mixed Calligraphy" project by the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language recreates traditional cultural identity with pride, reflecting the spirit of humanities students in particular and young Vietnamese people in general.


The "Rice Drum" performance showcased the vibrant folk colors and love for cultural traditions of the young people in the History department.

The performance "A Million Hearts Beating as One" by the Faculty of Tourism Studies.
