On February 26th, 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Viet Nghia (Dean of the Office for Cooperation and Development) and the representative from Faculty of Journalism and Communication welcomed and worked with the delegation from Sungshin University led by Mr. Doobo Shim (Dean of International Cooperation, Sungshin University).
At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Viet Nghia briefly introduced about USSH’s history and training activities as one of leading universities in the field of social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. He also emphasized USSH’s strategy of internationalization, including the enhancement of international cooperation. The Korean universities are among its core partners.
On behalf of Sungshin University, Mr. Doobo Shim expressed his gratitude for being warmly welcomed by USSH. He highly appreciated the potential for cooperation between the two universities. He suggested opening more courses concerning Korean history and culture; improving exchanges and cooperation in all of the training and research areas; and strengthening students and lecturers exchanges.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Viet Nghia agreed with Mr. Doobo Shim’s proposals and hoped the two universities would begin cooperation in the coming time. He reaffirmed that USSH would always welcome and provide the best conditions for Korean students in particular and international students at large.
Sungshin Women’s University is a private women’s university located in Seoul, South Korea. Today, the university comprises ten colleges and five graduate schools. Also, Sungshin Women's University has succeeded to annex the nursing college of a national hospital, the first event of its kind to happen in South Korea. Its member colleges are College of Humanities, College of Social Sciences, College of Law, College of Natural Sciences, College of Human Ecology, College of Nursing, College of Education, College of Arts, College of Music, and College of Convergence Culture and Arts.
