Meeting with the delegation of Sage Publishing

On March 3rd, 2018, Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh (USSH’s Rector) and representatives of Faculty of Library and Information, Office for Cooperation and Development welcomed and worked with the delegation of Sage Publishing led by Mrs. Rosalia da Garcia (Managing Director).

At the meeting, the leaders of the two sides discussed about developing a premium database that was expected to improve the quality of training and research of USSH’s staff and lecturers. Mrs Rosalia da Garcia made an in-depth overview of the advantages and strong points of “Sage research methods” database to USSH’s staff present at the meeting. She confirmed with its prominent features “Sage research methods” will greatly contribute to USSH’s training and research activities.

On behalf of USSH, Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh expressed his gratitude to Mrs Rosalia da Garcia and said the University will seriously consider opening up opportunities for cooperation with Sage Publishing. USSH’s staff also raised questions about the features of “Sage research methods” and received clear explanations and answers from Sage Publishing’s representatives. USSH hopes to receive more suggestions and advice from SAGE Publishing concerning international publication and the improvement of its Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Sage Research Methods is an online search tool that provides information and instruction on research methods. With more than 200.000 book pages, reference works, journal articles, more than 820 titles published on behalf of 350 scholarly and professional associations with qualitative and quantitative themes. SAGE Research Methods provides information on writing a research question, conducting a literature review, choosing a research method, collecting and analyzing data, and writing up the findings.
