Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa said that given its history of 70 years, USSH had always wanted to provide the best conditions in every aspect for its faculty as well as teachers and students. Taking advantage of the services from external agencies and organizations would help achieve this end. Therefore, the contribution of BIDV to USSH in recent years was commendable and remarkable. The Vice Rector expressed her gratefulness for the good relations between BIDV and VNU in general and USSH in particular, and hoped after the signing of this memorandum, these relations would develop in both width and depth.
In response, Mr. Lai Tien Quan confirmed BIDV would prioritize facilitating USSH’ training and research activities above profits. This commitment was confirmed by the signing of this memorandum.
According to the memorandum, BIDV Thanh Xuan would provide necessary banking services for the University including the provision of loans, deposit accounts, ATM cards and other credit cards and payment accounts. In addition, BIDV committed to cover USSH’ expenses in areas such as constructing and reforming facilities, holding academic projects and workshops, and ensuring other social services. In the short term, BIDV was going to grant 1.300.000.000 VNDs to USSH in the period of 2015-2019. In exchange, USSH committed to use the services provided by BIDV by opening and maintaining its deposit accounts, using its ATM system for salary payment, performing transactions with other partners using the system of BIDV and coordinating with it to hold workshops and research projects.

In terms of procedure, the provision of credit and financial services would be directly carried out by BIDV Thanh Xuan and USSH or the University’s staff, teachers and students. Both sides committed to maintaining regular communications on issues related to the memorandum as well as other possible services from BIDV.
The memorandum came into effect on the signing date and would be valid in 5 academic years (2014- 2015 to 2018-2019).
