The seminar sharing the research results of the same name was jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stifung (KAS) and was held on the morning of September 24, 2024 in Hanoi.

Many initiatives for cooperation and support for students and faculty of the Korean Studies Department at VNU-USSH were discussed and agreed upon during the meeting between the university’s leadership and representatives from the Korea Foundation.

July 9, 2024, representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi had a working session with the Director of the Institute of International Cooperation and Chief Representative of Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), Federal Republic of Germany in Vietnam to discuss cooperation contents in research and publication of national reports.

On the afternoon of July 15, 2024, representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi had a meeting and worked with representatives of the University of Alabama to discuss cooperation in research on Southeast Asia and student exchange.

On the morning of July 26, 2024, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and leaders of the university's units and faculties had a meeting and worked with Mr. Trinh Dai Vi - Counselor, Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, Mr. Ho Xuan Lieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and many universities, training and research institutions from Yunnan province, China.

On the morning of July 31, 2024, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and the school's delegation visited and worked at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, VNU to discuss practical cooperation contents from the 2024-2025 school year.

On August 13, 2024, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, VNU-USSH) chaired a working session with Mr. Ruici Tio, Manager of the Asia Pacific Safety and Integrity Policy Program of Meta Group.

The book “Vietnamese Higher Education at a Crossroads: Transformation During the Digital Age” co-edited by Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, with the participation of scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and international scientists, has been officially published by Palgrave Macmillan Cham Publishing House (Springer) after nearly 3 years of compilation.

On August 28, 2024, in Beijing (China), a delegation of VNU led by Director Le Quan visited and had a working session with Peking University, one of the largest and most prestigious universities in the world. Representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities participating in the delegation included Assoc.Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh - Vice Rector of USSH.

From August 27 to 31, 2024, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) led a delegation of the University to visit and work with the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Kingdom of Thailand, Mahidol University, Thammasat University, Institute of East Asian Studies and Faculty of Liberal Arts (under Thammasat University), Institute of Language and Culture Studies (under Mahidol University), Vietnamese Association in Bangkok and General Association of Vietnamese in Thailand (headquartered in Mukdahan province, Thailand).

On September 9, 2024, Mr. Sandeep Arya - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Vietnam - received and discussed work with Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH).

Throughout Vietnam's historical and cultural development, Vietnamese Buddhism, along with generations of monks, nuns, lay practitioners (householders), and Buddhist followers from various sects, has made significant contributions. Among these, Thiền tông (Zen Buddhism), Tịnh độ tông (Pure Land Buddhism), and Mật tông (Vajrayana Buddhism) have played a crucial role. However, to effectively utilize and understand this rich heritage, meticulous and rigorous scientific research is essential.
