10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- This dissertation is a comprehensive and in-depth study of the trade relations of coastal trading ports in North Central Vietnam during the 11th-19th centuries. Based on various sources, the dissertation clarifies the foreign relations of the major coastal trading ports in North Central Vietnam through the activities of merchants, trading ships, and goods.

- Based on the commercial activities of the coastal ports of North Central Vietnam, the thesis identifies the characteristics of their operations, trade relations, location, and role within the regional and international trade system. Simultaneously, the thesis clarifies the role of exogenous factors in the development of these coastal ports and their historical international character.

- This dissertation is a scientific work on the cluster of trading ports in North Central Vietnam over more than eight centuries, from the beginning of the 11th century to the mid-19th century. Therefore, recreating the foreign economic activities of these trading ports not only clarifies the history of foreign trade in North Central Vietnam but also contributes to the overall picture of Vietnamese foreign trade during the medieval period.

11. Practical applications:

- The research results of this thesis contribute to a deeper understanding of the position and role of the North Central coastal region; the observations on the characteristics, location, and role of the trading ports drawn from the thesis provide a historical reference perspective for the development of trading ports in the North Central region today; and at the same time, provide some meaningful arguments for the development of coastal trading ports in the North Central region in the current period.

- The thesis is a comprehensive and intensive work on the commercial relationship of Coastalcommercial ports in Central-North Vietnamfrom the 11th to 19th centuries. Given various and dimensional sources of materials, the thesis seeks to highlight the external relations of all major ports in terms of traders, ships and commodity exchanges.

- Based on commercial activities incoastalcommercial ports in Central - North Vietnam, thedissertationrevisits the position and role of these commercial port clusters in the regional and international trading system (the role of exogenous factors impacting on the development, international character ofthese ports and so on).

- The thesis is a scientific work that reflects the regional and international relations in Central-Northern Coastal Commercial Portsmore than eight centuries, from the beginning of the eleventh century to the middle of the nineteenth century.The thesis provides a general picture on Vietnam's foreign trade in the middle ages and pre-modern periods.

- The thesis makes readers aware of the position and role of theCoastalCommercial Portsin Central-North Vietnam. Characteristics and roles of these ports are also raised.
