10. Summary of new results of the thesis:
Although the study of labor relations in enterprises is not a completely new issue in the world and Vietnam. However, in the process of implementing the thesis, there are certain contributions in terms of theory and practice. The new contributions of the thesis are shown in the following points:
Firstly, the novelty of the thesis is shown in the thesis's clarification of the concept of labor relations. Although this is a concept that has been mentioned in previous research works. But in the thesis, the concept of labor relations considered from a sociological approach is affirmed as a social relationship. Labor relations in the study are divided into interactions in the main activities of enterprises such as: recruitment, use of labor, payment of wages and benefits and social insurance. In which, labor relations are based on state law. Trade union activities in enterprises play an intermediary role in promoting positive and harmonious labor relations.
Second, the novelty of the thesis is shown in the application of theory in the study of labor relations. The thesis has applied a relatively comprehensive combination of theories in the study of labor relations. That is, the approach from social capital theory, conflict theory, system theory and the approach from Andre' Petit's perspective on the model of mutual influence in the labor relations system.
Third, the novelty of the thesis is reflected in the research area. The thesis was conducted in Hung Yen. This is a province located in the Red River Delta, the key economic region of the North and the economic triangle of Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh. Hung Yen is the eastern gateway of Hanoi. It is a locality aiming to develop into an industrial province in the coming years. Therefore, Hung Yen attracts many investors, many production facilities, especially garment factories.
For the two enterprises selected in the study, one is a garment enterprise with 100% Vietnamese capital and the other is a 100% foreign invested enterprise (FDI). The study was conducted to compare the differences in labor relations between the two enterprises in each specific field.
Fourth, the new point of the thesis is also shown in the factors affecting labor relations in garment enterprises in Hung Yen. The factors affecting are grouped into three main groups, namely: factors related to employees, factors related to enterprises and factors outside enterprises and employees such as mass media, activities of trade unions at the grassroots level...
Finally, research on labor relations has also been conducted by previous authors, but mainly in the fields of economics and law. Therefore, this work contributes to the field of sociological research, especially the sociology of labor, to make it richer and more diverse.
11. Practical application:
- The research results of the thesis are a source of reference materials, serving research, teaching and learning on Labor Sociology and Labor Relations.
- The solutions proposed in the thesis can be applied to garment enterprises and workers in Hung Yen. At the same time, they can contribute to the application in the orientation and implementation of tasks of the grassroots Trade Union in Hung Yen.

10. Summary of new findings of the thesis:
Although research on labor relations in enterprise is not a completely new issue in the world and in Vietnam. However, during thesis implementation process, there are certain contributions in theory and practice. New contributions of the thesis are shown as follows:
Firstly, the novelty of the thesis is reflected in clarifying the concept of labor relations. Although this is a concept that has been mentioned previously. But in this thesis, the concept of labor relations from sociological approach is affirmed as social relations. Labor relations in the study are classified into interactions in the main activities of the enterprise such as recruitment, employment, payroll and welfare and social insurance. In which labor relations are based on state law. Trade union activities in enterprises play intermediate role of promoting labor relations positively and harmoniously.
Secondly, the novelty of the thesis is reflected in theoretical implications in labor relations research. The thesis applies synthetically theories in labor relations research. It is concerned from social capital theory, conflict theory, systematic theory and approach from Andre Petit's viewpoint on the interaction model in the labor relations system.
Thirdly, the novelty of the thesis is expressed in the study area. The thesis was conducted in Hung Yen province. This is a province in the Red River Delta, the northern key economic region and the economic triangle of Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh. Hung Yen is the gateway to the East of Hanoi. It is an area tending to become an industrial province in the coming years. Therefore, Hung Yen attracts many investors, many production establishments, especially garment factories.
For the two enterprises selected in the study, one garment enterprise is 100% Vietnam owned and one enterprise is 100% foreign invested (FDI). The research was conducted to compare the differences in labor relations between two enterprises in each specific field.
Fourthly, the new point of the thesis is also reflected in the factors affecting labor relations in garment enterprises in Hung Yen. The factors are localized into three main groups: the factors belonging to the workers, the factors of the enterprise and the factors outside the enterprise and workers such as the mass media, trade union activities ...
Finally, research on labor relations has been preceded by other authors, but mainly economics and law fields. Thus, this is the work that contributes to sociological research field, especially makes labor sociology more rich and diverse.
11. Practical applicability, if any:
- The research results of the thesis are reference source, serving teaching and learning activities in labor sociology, labor relations.
- The solutions presented in this thesis can be applied to garment enterprises and laborers in Hung Yen. At the same time, it can contribute to the orientation and implementation of the tasks of the upper level trade union in Hung Yen.
