10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

Firstly, this thesis studies and identifies the poetic characteristics of G. Marquez's novels, which are also typical characteristics of 20th-century Latin American novels.

Secondly, the thesis applies genre poetics theory, postmodern literary theory, and narrative theory to understand a typical phenomenon in world literature.

Thirdly, the thesis provides new, systematic information and places G. Marquez's works within their proper Latin American cultural context.

Finally, this thesis contributes to the identification of Latin American magical realism in world literature.

11. Practical applications:

- Compiling reference materials for undergraduate and graduate students in Literature and those with similar interests.

12. Future research directions:

- Research on the influence of the dual role in G. Marquez's writing involves a comparative study between the author's works and those of other contemporary writers or those influenced by his work; a comparison of G. Marquez's short stories and novels; an exploration of the relationship between the author's work and Latin American culture; and translations of G. Marquez's novels and short stories.

- Thirdly, this thesis provides a system of, new information about Marquez and his work as well as and puts them into the Latin American cultural context.

- Finally, this thesis contributes to identifying the position and signification of Latin American realism in the world literature.
