11. Summary ofnew resultsof the thesis:

- The thesis has provided theoretical and practical basis for international relations of the Vietnamese Muslim community by clarifying the characteristics and role of Islam in various areas of social life, especially in international relations; through analyzing the foreign policies of Vietnam and Muslim countries related to Islam.

- The thesis clarifies the current status of international relations of the Vietnamese Muslim community in two regions with large concentrations of Muslims: Southeast Asia and the Middle East - North Africa.

- From the research results, the thesis has made comments and assessments through analyzing the impact of the international relations of the Vietnamese Muslim community on the political and social fields, pointing out the challenges to the international relations of the Vietnamese Muslim community. On that basis, the thesis makes policy recommendations for Vietnam regarding the international relations of the Vietnamese Muslim community on the aspects of religious diplomacy and state management.

- The thesis contributes additional theoretical basis for the analysis of international relations of non-state entities which are religious organizations, contributing to supplementing arguments in planning Vietnam's foreign policy in general, and religious foreign policy in particular.

12. Practical application:

- The thesis suggests a number of highly feasible solutions to help relevant agencies improve the effectiveness and efficiency of religious diplomacy as well as state management of religion in Vietnam in the current context of international integration.

- The thesis contributes to systematizing and updating documents on international relations of the world Muslim community and Vietnam; will be a source of reference for training and research on international relations, especially for those interested in non-traditional security issues and religion in international relations.

13. Further research directions: Continue to study the international relations of the Vietnamese Muslim community and expand research on the international relations of religious organizations in Vietnam.

- The Thesis clarifies the current status of international relations of Vietnam Muslim community in the 2 areas densely inhabited by Muslims including Southeast Asia and the Middle East – North Africa.

- From the research results, the Thesis has made comments on opinions and judgments by analyzing the impact of the international relations of Vietnam Muslim community on the political and social fields, pointing out the challenges to international relations of Vietnam Muslim community. On that basis, the Thesis provides the policy recommendations related to the international relations of Vietnam Muslim community on the aspects of religious relations and State management.

- The Thesis provides additional theoretical basis for the analysis of international relations of the religious non-state actors, contributes to supplementing more arguments in Vietnam's foreign policy making in general, religious foreign policy in particular.
