- This dissertation outlines and applies narrative theory to the study of To Hoai's literary works, combining a structural narrative approach (on the levels of structure, narrative point of view, narrator, language, tone, etc.) with a deconstructive narrative approach (cultural perspective), contributing to a more comprehensive and objective understanding and evaluation of To Hoai's career and contributions to modern Vietnamese literature.
