2. Objectives of the training program(general goals, specific goals)

2.1. General objectives

Training masters in linguistics with solid and initially specialized linguistic knowledge and skills, capable of solving theoretical and practical problems in fields related to linguistics, language and culture.

2.2. Specific objectives

- Provide learners with initial, expanded and advanced knowledge of linguistics and related knowledge of cultural and social languages; specialized linguistic knowledge (theoretical linguistics, applied linguistics, Vietnamese linguistics, languages ​​and cultures of ethnic minorities, etc.) to serve research, teaching and management of linguistics, languages ​​and cultures;

-Train learners in hard skills (observation skills, analysis and synthesis skills, presentation and document drafting skills, etc.) and soft skills (communication skills, teamwork skills, foreign language skills, information technology) related to professional activities and meet the requirements of the profession;

- Train learners to have the ability to research, teach, manage, and consult on linguistics, language and culture at domestic and foreign training and research institutions; help learners continue to study at the doctoral level in the field/major of Linguistics or other related fields/majors.

- Have a university degree in a field related to Linguistics.

• Have a university degree in the right field: no work experience required;
• Completed a refresher course equivalent to a degree in Linguistics.
