2. Objectives of the training program
2.1 General Objectives
The program is designed to train Master's graduates in Journalism and Media Management who possess specialized knowledge, professional skills, critical thinking, strong ethics, and political acumen, enabling them to effectively face and adapt to challenges and changes in the field of journalism, media, and media management. The program also provides students with insightful perspectives and analytical skills on key issues in journalism and media, creating a solid foundation for their careers to meet the demands of the country's industrialization and modernization in the context of globalization and the digital age.

2.2. Specific Objectives
The program will help students gain a correct and in-depth understanding of the field of journalism and media in general, and media management in particular.
In addition, the program equips students with knowledge of media management and administration across three dimensions: management in political communication, management in media economics, and management in media culture.
Furthermore, students are equipped with fundamental, interdisciplinary knowledge, both theoretical and practical, encompassing fields such as journalism and media, management science, political science, and economics. This enables them to work effectively in media management, providing consultancy and advice on media policy planning at media management, leadership, and direction agencies; managing media operations; media administration at media organizations; and managing communication activities at agencies, units, businesses, and organizations, all within the context of the digital age.
After completing the course, participants will have the necessary skills to work professionally in journalism and media, and gradually accumulate experience to become leaders, managers, experts, and practitioners of management and administration in the field of journalism and media.
At the same time, learners have the capacity to continue their studies independently or pursue higher education in this field to become researchers or lecturers in the field of media and journalism management.

3. Admission Information
3.1. Entrance Examination Subjects

- Basic subject: Fundamental methods in media research
- Foundation subject: Theory of journalism and communication;
- Foreign Language: One of the following five languages: English, Russian, French, German, or Chinese.

3.2. Eligibility Criteria
* Regarding qualifications: All candidates who have graduated from university are eligible to take the exam, specifically:
- Hold a university degree in Journalism or a related field (Multimedia Communication, Public Relations, International Communication, Mass Communication).
- Applicants must hold a university degree in a related or different field from Journalism, and have completed supplementary courses, or, if admitted after passing the entrance exam, must complete supplementary courses before being officially recognized as a student according to regulations.
 
* Regarding years of service:
- Individuals with a university degree in the correct or relevant field are eligible to take the exam immediately after graduation;
- Individuals with a university degree in a related field: must have at least one year of work experience in journalism and media and must have completed a refresher course.
- Individuals with a university degree in another field: must have at least two years of work experience in journalism and media and must complete a refresher course.

3.4. List of supplementary knowledge courses
Candidates who have graduated from a related or other university field and meet the work experience requirements, and who possess a membership card of the Vietnam Journalists Association, will be exempt from 3 modules in the refresher course.
