2. Objectives of the training program
2.1. General Objectives
The Master's program in Office Management aims to perfect students' knowledge, skills, and in-depth research capabilities; develop management thinking, the ability to approach and solve contemporary problems in office operations, and meet the requirements of organizational innovation, digital transformation, and international integration.
The program demonstrates a suitable training orientation that meets the high-quality human resource needs of agencies, organizations, businesses, and stakeholders; while also aligning with the mission, vision, and development strategy of the training institution, the development needs of society, the goals of higher education as stipulated in the Law on Higher Education, and the corresponding qualification descriptions in the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework.
2.2 Specific Objectives
- Specific Objective 1(O1). The training program is designed to update and enhance the in-depth knowledge system of the Office Management industry, including theoretical basis - methods, models and principles of office organization, business process management, information - document - file management, relevant standards/norms and management issues associated with the modern context; while also guiding learners to access new management trends in agencies, organizations and businesses.
- Specific Objective 2(O2). The training program helps learners improve their professional skills and practical expertise in office management so that they can work effectively in a digital environment and in international integration; focusing on adapting to organizational and operational processes, coordinating multi-platform collaboration, using technology and digital tools in office operations, ensuring efficiency, information discipline and quality of administrative and office services in different organizational contexts.
- Specific Objective 3(O3). The training program aims to help learners improve themselves and spread the values of their profession through maintaining a spirit of lifelong learning, professional discipline and ethics, social responsibility, and a professional attitude in the workplace; while encouraging learners to actively participate in improving office management practices, sharing professional knowledge and experience, and contributing to raising awareness of the role of office management in organizational management efficiency and sustainable development.
3. Admission Information
3.1. Admission method:Admission is based on the regulations of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi).
3.2. Eligibility Criteria:
3.2.1. Regarding qualifications
- Must have graduated from university with a GPA of "good" or higher (or equivalent or higher) in a relevant field or have published scientific papers related to the field of application. If the candidate needs to take supplementary courses, they must complete them before applying and must have one year of experience in the field of application, calculated from the date of graduation to the date of application.
- Diplomas issued by foreign educational institutions must undergo recognition procedures in accordance with the current regulations of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
3.2.2. Regarding foreign language proficiency
- Possess foreign language proficiency (in one of the following languages: English, French, German, Russian, or Chinese) meeting the requirements of the training program at level 3 or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam. Foreign language proficiency can be demonstrated by one of the following diplomas or certificates:
+ A university degree or higher in a foreign language; or a university degree or higher where the program is primarily conducted in a foreign language;
+ A university degree or higher awarded by Vietnam National University, Hanoi, within the last two years, where the program's output meets the requirements of level 3 or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam;
+ A foreign language certificate equivalent to level 3 or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam; or equivalent, valid for 2 years from the date of the foreign language exam to the date of registration for the master's program, issued by institutions accepted by the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities or the Rector of the University of Foreign Languages will assess and be responsible for the authenticity of foreign language certificates issued by foreign organizations before recognizing their equivalence.
- Applicants who are foreign citizens and register for master's programs taught in Vietnamese must have a Vietnamese language proficiency level of 4 or higher according to the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners, or have graduated from a university (or equivalent qualification or higher) where the training program is taught in Vietnamese; and meet the requirements for a second foreign language as stipulated by the training program (if any).
3.2.3. Other conditions
- Has a clean personal record and is not currently under criminal investigation;
- Having sufficient health to study;
- Meet other requirements of VNU.
3.3. List of suitable industries
- This field is in the same group as Office Management;
- The field of study is defined in the training program standards issued by the Ministry of Education and Training;
- For cases where there are no established training program standards for the corresponding field or group of disciplines, the specialized unit must have a scientific and practical basis, determined by the Scientific and Training Council of the specialized unit and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, to identify the discipline with the closest professional foundation to the training program and determine the corresponding supplementary courses (if needed); report to VNU before enrollment and be responsible for this professional evaluation.
3.4. Projected enrollment size
- According to the quotas granted annually by Vietnam National University, Hanoi (expected to be 15-20 students per year).
- The detailed admission plan is implemented according to the Admission Regulations, the annual postgraduate admission guidelines of VNU, and the admission scheme of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities approved by VNU (if any).
PART II: LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM

PLO 1.Analyzing theoretical and practical issues in the professional field based on a philosophical worldview and methodology.
PLO 2.Evaluate the significance, value, and relevance of fundamental research approaches, theories, and methods in the social sciences and humanities according to research criteria/standards and application contexts.

PLO 5.Manage and operate the office activities of an agency/organization/business scientifically and efficiently in a digital environment, while also meeting the requirement of using a foreign language at level 4 as prescribed.
PLO 6.The decision on advisory options is based on data and information management to support office operations and office administration.
PLO 7.Defending professional arguments/knowledge in the field of Office Management based on research results and systematizing theory and practice.

Graduates of the Master of Office Administration program can take on the following job positions:
- Responsible for an area or department of office administration in agencies and businesses, corresponding to the following titles: Chief/Deputy Chief of Office, Head/Deputy Head of Administration Department (or Administration - General Department, Administration - Human Resources Department...), Administrative Director, Office Manager...
- Lecturers at colleges and some universities offering training in office administration and office management;
- Researchers or heads of research units on office administration and office management at universities and scientific research institutions.
