11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
Theoretical contributions
The thesis author has summarized the research overview of sexual satisfaction into three trends: (1) Research on sexual satisfaction in relation to sexual health and physiology; (2) Research on sexual satisfaction and satisfaction in couple relationships; (3) Research on factors affecting sexual satisfaction. The thesis systematizes concepts related to adult sexual satisfaction: the concept of sexuality, sexual satisfaction, and adult sexual satisfaction. Specifically, the key concept of the topic is: Adult sexual satisfaction is the subjective and positive emotional assessment of oneself and one's partner in an adult's sexual relationship.
The research results show that sexual satisfaction is a subjective assessment of the individual, but the object of this assessment is not only their own satisfaction, but also their sexual satisfaction with their partner.
When considering the factors influencing sexual satisfaction in adults, the author of this thesis found that there are many factors, but the thesis focuses only on analyzing the following groups of factors: Firstly, individual psychological factors (self-perception of body image, sexual perceptions, emotions – anxiety during sexual intercourse and sexual behaviors); secondly, interpersonal psychological factors (passion, intimacy and commitment in the relationship); and thirdly, demographic and health factors (gender, pregnancy and childbirth, education level, occupation, income, housing situation).
These findings contribute to clarifying theoretical issues regarding sexuality and sexual satisfaction.
Practical contributions
The thesis assessed the level of sexual satisfaction among adult participants in the study, focusing on overall sexual satisfaction, self-satisfaction, and partner satisfaction, with a generally satisfactory level.
The results of the thesis allow us to conclude that there are statistically significant differences in sexual satisfaction among adults according to variables such as gender, education level, sexual experience, frequency of sexual intercourse, duration of sexual intercourse, occupation, assets, and location of sexual intercourse.
The thesis also assessed the influence of factors such as intimacy, passion, commitment, sexual perceptions, sexual behavior, and body image on sexual satisfaction in adults. The thesis also indicated that anxiety during sexual intercourse had no influence and did not predict sexual satisfaction. Meanwhile, passion and sexual behavior were correlated and were the most likely predictors of sexual satisfaction in adults.
Based on the research findings presented in this thesis, there is a scientific basis for proposing recommendations to improve sexual satisfaction among adults.
12. Practical applications:
The research findings of this thesis can be used as a useful reference for researchers in social psychology, family psychology, policy researchers, and government officials, in order to develop measures to improve community health and well-being.
13. Future research directions:
Research on sexual satisfaction should be conducted among diverse groups of subjects. For example, research groups should include individuals from different regions, ethnicities, educational backgrounds, occupations, and cultural origins. These differing factors can lead to varying results regarding sexual satisfaction levels among different groups.
- Further studies could also examine factors influencing the sexual satisfaction of couples; the adaptation of couples to sexual life during the first five years of marriage; women's sexual satisfaction, and so on.

The author of the thesis had summarized the literature of sexual satisfaction in three research pathways (1) The research path on sexual satisfaction in term of sexual and reproductive health; (2) The research path on sexual satisfaction and couple relationship satisfaction; (3) The research path on factors affecting sexual satisfaction.
