Chapter 1 is a system of theoretical issues on television economics and social media through the study of the following contents: clarifying the basic concepts of entertainment television and the characteristics of entertainment television; television economics; pay television services; social networks and their positive and negative impacts. Clarifying the views and policies of the Party and the State on the development of television economics in the current period. Content and methods of developing pay television services. Factors affecting pay television services.
Chapter 2, SCTV is the first enterprise in Vietnam to be permitted by the Prime Minister to research, apply, design, invest, construct and exploit the HFC cable television network, broadband, and use multiple services. Chapter 2 of the thesis has summarized the following contents: Some features of SCTV Company Limited: General introduction of the company (History of establishment and development, Legal status and business fields); Organizational structure and management of the company (Organizational structure, Area of operation). Pay TV service business activities at SCTV: Achievements (Types of SCTV products and services, Analysis of the company's total revenue situation, Technical quality, customer service and content, Promotional programs); Some existing limitations. Methods of exploiting pay TV of SCTV: Service payment methods, Pay TV services; Customer approach methods. Some of the current issues facing SCTV are: Awareness of pay TV services; General policy mechanism; Content and form; Human resources; Technical infrastructure;
In the current social network context, pay TV services in general and SCTV pay TV services in particular are facing certain difficulties and challenges, requiring the company to increase innovation to improve competitiveness and meet customer needs in the current period.
Chapter 3, Based on the current situation; development trends and competition of pay TV; development orientation of pay TV services. The author proposes the following solutions: Solutions to propagate awareness of pay TV services; Solutions on general policy mechanisms; Solutions on content and form; Solutions on human resource development; Solutions on investment in technical infrastructure.
The investment and exploitation of SCTV's pay TV service is a step in the right direction and brings great economic, political and social significance. Therefore, in order to develop the business of pay TV cable service with service quality, it is necessary to have scientific research on theoretical and practical bases, thereby finding fundamental and long-term solutions to promote the development of cable TV service in Vietnam.
11. Practical application:
The thesis clarifies the scientific basis for promoting the development of pay television. In-depth research indicates the development status of the pay television market, trends and solutions for the development of pay television economy (SCTV) in the context of social media.
This will be a reference document for state management agencies as well as pay TV service providers and other interested individuals/organizations.
12. Further research directions:
Although it has achieved a requirement in the research purpose, the thesis still has some limitations in providing solutions to develop THTT services in the context of social media communication. Therefore, in the future, the author believes that in order to achieve higher research results, it is necessary to coordinate many models and research methods to improve the quality of THTT services in the current period.
