Project title: Party building work in printed newspapers in the Mekong Delta (survey of printed newspapers in Can Tho, Vinh Long and Dong Thap in 2019-2020).
To clarify the content of the topic, we conducted a survey of printed newspapers in Can Tho, Vinh Long and Dong Thap. We conducted in-depth interviews with 9 people who are currently Heads of Propaganda Departments of City and Provincial Party Committees; Editors-in-Chief and reporters of the 3 above newspapers. The survey and interview content focused on 3 main issues: Current status of communication on Party building work in printed newspapers in the Mekong Delta (content, form, success, limitations); some issues raised in current communication on Party building work in printed newspapers; proposed solutions (general solutions, specific solutions, recommendations) to improve the quality of communication on Party building work in printed newspapers in the Mekong Delta today.
In addition, we also distributed questionnaires to 300 readers of Can Tho, Vinh Long and Dong Thap newspapers to survey readers' interest and evaluation of the quality of content and communication forms of Party building work on the printed publications of the three newspapers.
During the survey and research process, I found that 3 newspapers have organized a weekly column to publish works on Party building, meeting part of the public's information needs. However, the number of media works on Party building accounts for less than 10% of the total number of works published in the 3 newspapers; the newspapers are poor in terms of journalistic genres in communicating Party building work; the content of the works is not in-depth, superficial, sketchy, and one-sided; the form of expressing the content and presenting the Party building column is not attractive; the photos published in the newspaper have very poor content, dry, and boring...
From the analysis of those successes and limitations, we raise several issues for print newspapers in general and print newspapers in Can Tho, Vinh Long, Dong Thap in particular regarding communication on Party building work. At the same time, we propose corresponding solutions and recommendations to address the above-mentioned situations.
11. Practical application:
The results of the thesis are one of the reference sources for party newspapers in general and Can Tho, Vinh Long and Dong Thap newspapers in particular to improve the quality of communication on party building work, meeting the increasing information needs of the public. At the same time, the research results will be valuable reference materials for party newspapers and colleagues to refer to, select and apply in practical activities.

In addition, we have handed out Anket questionnaires to 300 readers of Can Tho, Vinh Long, Dong Thap newspapers to survey their interests and remarks about the communication quality (content, form) of Party building work on the three publications.
Through surveys and research, we have found that the three newspapers all have weekly columns for articles on Party building work to meet the demand of the public. However, the number of articles of this kind accounts for less than 10 percent of the total articles published. Moreover, journalism genres used to communicate Party building work are not diverse while the content is cursory and unilateral. Other limitations include unattractive form with boring photos.
