The Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and representatives of the University's Veterans Association donated 2 boxes of gifts, 10 gift packages for severely wounded veterans, and 10 million VND in cash to the Center.
The Nho Quan Rehabilitation Center in Ninh Binh, established in 1965, has provided care for over 2000 severely wounded and disabled veterans, many of whom have lost more than 80% of their health. Currently, 138 individuals, including wounded and disabled veterans and their children, as well as those receiving social welfare benefits facing extreme difficulties, are receiving treatment there.
During the visit, teacher Nguyen Phuong Lien (Faculty of Literature) wrote emotionally:
Leaving behind youth amidst the fiery flames of the battlefield.
Sending love back to the banyan tree by the riverbank.
Sending future generations a sky full of dreams.
I only keep to myself a pure memory.
I remember the days when we even shared a cigarette.
A marching song that strengthens camaraderie.
Remember the years spent in the trenches, forging a strong and resilient spirit.
Now, let the willpower burn in my heart.
The war is over, the guns have fallen silent?
In my memory, the shrapnel still stings.
Oh, red phoenix, spread your light freely!
July now resounds with songs of gratitude.
Some photos from the trip.
