Head of the Administration - General Department Nguyen Van Thuy presented a report on the results of the implementation of tasks in July, emphasizing a number of key tasks: The content of the activities was completed according to the registered plan, ensuring progress. Party and mass organization work: completed the consideration of the title of Professor/Associate Professor at the Council of Professors; organized gratitude activities on the occasion of July 27, summer volunteering, commended children of cadres with good academic achievements. Training work: training units successfully organized practical internships, training for students, fostering professional skills of cadres; organized regular university graduation examinations, successfully completed the work of early admission for regular university admission in 2023; considered and rewarded students; Successfully organized the awarding ceremony for Masters, PhDs and Bachelors in 2023 in late July and early August. Scientific research and cooperation and development: completed the draft regulations on ethics in research, drafted regulations on strong research groups at the school level, signed and extended MOUs with foreign partners. Communication activities were promoted, focusing on building series of articles and clips introducing majors, guiding university admission registration, providing good support for university and graduate admissions.
Representatives of the units enthusiastically discussed key tasks and proposed a number of solutions to successfully implement the August Action Plan.
Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu (Deputy Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs) noted that the key activity in August is to organize the Student Affairs Conference. This is a very important event for relevant departments to discuss and find strong solutions and improve the quality of care, support and companionship with students. Therefore, we hope to receive support from the Faculties and departments, creating conditions for staff and students to fully attend so that the conference can be successfully implemented.

Dr. Dao Minh Quan (Director of the Center for Communication and Information Technology) shared some information about the results achieved in communication activities about the School's image on internal channels and the press: a series of 09 clips introducing 09 basic science majors, 01 clip guiding candidates to register for admission through the portal of the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as a series of articles about students, training results, scientific research of the School, etc. posted on media channels received very good interaction from students and readers.

Associate Professor, Dr. Trinh Thi Linh (Head of the Department of Psychology) proposed: now that the training programs have been adjusted, the School should have an official document announcing the adjusted training programs so that the Faculty has a basis to develop plans and notify learners (especially students). Agreeing with the opinion of the representative of the Department of Psychology, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Thuy (Deputy Head of the Department of History) also hopes that the School will have early instructions to facilitate the second round of postgraduate enrollment in 2023.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam (Head of Training Department) said: This week, the School's Science and Training Council will hold a final meeting to review the adjusted training programs. Before August 15, the School's Board of Directors will issue specific instructions on implementing training and recruiting postgraduate students according to the adjusted training program. The faculties will base on the School's instructions to notify learners and develop their own training plans.

Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong shared some more information about the key results of the training work, and emphasized: The focus of August is the 2023 regular university enrollment after candidates have completed their registration on the Ministry of Education and Training's enrollment portal; part-time enrollment; second round of graduate enrollment. Training units are requested to actively communicate to recent graduates about the direct admission policy to graduate school for accredited majors. Strengthen communication work on graduate enrollment, carefully prepare the opening ceremony and admission for new students.

Vice Rector Dao Thanh Truong: 2023 is the first year that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has 4 strong research groups funded by VNU. In the coming time, it is recommended that heads of training units pay attention to promoting the establishment of strong research groups at the school level, thereby continuing to develop into VNU-level research groups. Vice Rector Dao Thanh Truong also noted that the Cooperation and Development Department should closely coordinate with training units to ensure adequate accommodation conditions for Chinese international students to study in September.

Vice Principal Lai Quoc Khanh shared some information about the projects to upgrade, renovate and build new administrative and physical facilities: speed up the progress of projects at Hoa Lac campus, continue to renovate projects at 336 Nguyen Trai: facade of Building A, Building D, surrounding areas; repair and purchase equipment for teaching. The renovation work needs to be implemented quickly and completed during the summer to welcome students in time for the new school year.

After listening to the opinions exchanged and discussed at the meeting, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan concluded and emphasized some key tasks in August:
- Party, organization and personnel work: Implement the next steps in the Project to establish the School Council; continue to implement the recruitment and reception of qualified staff to work at the School.
- Political and Student Affairs: Review and adjust the plan for allocating scholarships, especially entrance and study encouragement scholarships, in a practical and effective manner; Prepare carefully for the Student Affairs Conference (August 25-26, 2023) in a practical and innovative direction, aiming to improve the quality of student care and support activities in the current transition context. Relevant departments need to prepare the content well, and training units must assign staff to participate fully and effectively.
- Training: develop a specific enrollment plan, balance the admission methods, and ensure adequate quantity and quality. Complete adjustments to issue training programs, facilitating training units in planning and organizing teaching; Develop training programs according to orders from some units; Accelerate the implementation of training programs such as Cinema and Popular Arts to be able to enroll from 2024.
- Quality Assurance: Implement the quality improvement plan of 12 accredited programs in 2022 after the assessment results are available.
- Management and scientific research; Cooperation and Development: Continue to support staff to increase research topics at all levels; Urgently complete project topics that are due for acceptance, especially topics within the framework of the National Resolution.
- Administrative - Financial - IT work: - Carry out planned repairs and develop plans to optimize facilities in area 336 Nguyen Trai; Continue to promote communication work towards enhancing the overall position of the School, focusing on recruitment communication.
