On the morning of January 3, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) in collaboration with the Center for Education Quality Assessment, Ho Chi Minh City National University organized an official survey to assess the quality of 03 standard university-level training programs in Information Management, Information - Library and Tourism and Travel Services Management according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
On the side of the External Evaluation Team (EE Team), there was the participation of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Hong - Vice Rector of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Head of the EEE Team; MSc. Hoang Tho Phu - Head of Quality Assurance Department, University of Economics and Law, VNU-HCM, member, Secretary of the EEE Team and standing members of the team.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the school emphasized that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU has the mission of leading in training high-quality, highly qualified human resources; researching, creating and disseminating knowledge of Social Sciences and Humanities, serving the cause of national construction and defense and international integration. Therefore, the school always considers the quality of training and ensuring the quality of training and the philosophy, the key values of the school.
Since 2022, VNU-USSH has been one of 14 training institutions nationwide to be assessed in the second cycle, demonstrating the school's pioneering role in implementing a culture of quality. The accredited training programs have received high scores, the school has also received many valuable comments from education experts and has been taking steps to perfect the training programs according to those valuable advices.
In 2023, all training programs will be adjusted, interdisciplinary and deeply internationalized. From the perspective of management, support and care for learners, the school has had activities accompanying students from the time they are potential students, throughout their study and research at the school and even after they graduate. The school has become a bridge between students and hundreds of businesses to open up good job opportunities for them.

At the opening ceremony of the official survey, leaders of 02 training units with quality-accredited training programs shared with the Evaluation Delegation information about 03 training programs. Accordingly, the school always focuses on improving training programs towards approaching accreditation criteria and integrating with international training quality, enhancing practicality in training.

With sincere thanks to the trust of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in selecting the Evaluation Team of the Center for Education Quality Assessment, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Hong said that the Evaluation Team is committed to professionalism, transparency, objectivity, and quality in the quality assessment of training programs. The head of the Evaluation Team affirmed that the highest goal of the survey and assessment is to provide the most valuable recommendations to help the University improve and enhance the quality of training programs, for the quality of the education sector in general.

During the survey period, the Evaluation Team will have meetings and work with school leaders, leaders of training units, functional departments/centers, lecturers, students and alumni, business organizations that are employing students of the school..., survey data related to training programs to have objective assessments of training programs.
Previously, on December 20, 2023, the Evaluation Team conducted a survey and discussed with the survey units and discussed with the units (Offices of 02 Faculties; Department of Personnel Organization, Training, Scientific Research Management, Politics and Student Affairs, Department of Cooperation and Development, Center for Training Quality Assurance) and surveyed the facilities (facilities serving the official survey of the Evaluation Team, facilities serving 03 training programs).
The official survey at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU will take place from January 3 to 6, 2024.

As a core unit of VNU, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always been a pioneer in accreditation and improving training quality. Up to now, VNU-USSH has had 12 training programs certified for quality accreditation according to AUN-QA standards, 15 training programs have been certified for quality accreditation according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training. From the end of December 2023 to January 6, 2024, the school will continue to accredit 03 more training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training (Information Management, Information - Library, Tourism and Travel Services Management). |
