As part of the external evaluation plan for three training programs at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, from January 3rd to 6th, 2024, the Evaluation Team conducted the official survey for program quality accreditation at the University. At the closing ceremony, each member of the Evaluation Team presented a report highlighting strengths and offering recommendations based on their review of supporting documents and direct interviews with relevant stakeholders.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hong Sinh, a member of the delegation, emphasized that regarding the design and implementation of the training programs, all three programs demonstrate many strengths: the general and specific objectives are defined in accordance with the mission and vision of the University and in compliance with the regulations of the Law on Higher Education, and the regulations and rules of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the objectives of the training programs have been specifically defined, regularly updated (most recently in 2023), and widely disseminated to learners through the University's communication channels. The University has a team of highly qualified and dedicated lecturers and researchers who are regularly provided with opportunities and encouragement by the University to improve their professional skills and update their teaching and learning methods.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hong Sinh shared some recommendations to improve the quality of training programs based on standards for program design and implementation, and the development of a highly qualified faculty.
Lecturer Lam Tuong Thoai emphasized that the school has a highly qualified teaching staff, with over 70% of lecturers holding PhDs, associate professorships, or professorships, which is significantly higher than the national average. Regarding facilities and student support, the report emphasizes: Although the campus at 336 Nguyen Trai has a modest area, the University has made every effort to arrange a spacious and airy lecture hall system, allocating a significant portion to self-study and rest spaces for students; the office area for staff and lecturers is greened, beautifully decorated, and friendly. In particular, the Information and Library Practice Room of the Faculty of Information and Library Science is equipped with modern equipment, serving as a model for other training institutions in Vietnam, not just the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The University has a clear strategy for accompanying and supporting students: managing and monitoring their progress in learning and training, implementing counseling activities, extracurricular activities, and support services to improve students' learning. It has a policy of encouraging and investing in scientific research, resulting in a very high rate of student research and publications domestically and internationally compared to other training institutions.

Associate Professor Bui Dang Hieu emphasized: When interacting with the teachers in the Evaluation Team, the students all expressed satisfaction with the quality and effectiveness of academic counseling, job placement support, and the psychological, social, and landscape environment of the University, showing pride and love for the Hanoi University of Humanities.
Besides the achievements, the report also proposes several recommendations: Curriculum design should establish common goals that clearly reflect the identity of each curriculum and the learners; diverse assessment methods are needed; effective measures are required to attract the interest and participation of learners in extracurricular activities of the Faculty/School; a dedicated psychological counseling unit should be established at the School; and the database of textbooks and learning materials should be updated for learners to refer to.
Finally, on behalf of the External Evaluation Team, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong - Head of the Team - presented the conclusion of the Report, emphasizing that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the leading training institutions with a long tradition and prestige in Vietnam in the field of social sciences and humanities, especially always pioneering in quality accreditation. To achieve this position, the University has effectively utilized the common resources within the Vietnam National University system to serve students; the leadership is dedicated and closely involved in quality assurance; the teaching staff is enthusiastic, passionate about their profession and the university; and the students are very dynamic and creative.
