Attending the exchange and signing ceremony, on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector), the leadership of the Information - Library Science and Tourism Studies faculties, and representatives of the leadership of functional departments and centers.
Representing the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Assurance (CEQA) was Ms. Ho Dac Hai Mien, M.Sc. The External Evaluation Team (EE) consisted of 5 members, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong.
Representing the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude to the Thang Long Center for Quality Assurance in Education for its collaboration with the University over the past year in numerous accreditation rounds for its training programs. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan shared: "With the rapid transformation and fierce competition in higher education today, accreditation and quality assurance are mandatory conditions for improving training quality and achieving successful enrollment. Therefore, the University always considers quality accreditation a regular task, aiming to build a culture of accreditation and improvement within the University to further enhance the quality of its training programs and meet the needs of society. Through this preliminary survey, the University hopes to receive specific feedback from the faculty members of the Accreditation Team so that the departments can continue to refine the self-assessment documents and supporting evidence for the three accredited training programs."
Rector Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his desire to hear specific feedback from the External Evaluation Team so that the school can finalize its self-assessment report and supporting documents for the three training programs.
On December 20th, the Accreditation Team conducted surveys and discussions with the units surveyed (Office of 2 Faculties; Department of Personnel, Training, Research Management, Politics and Student Affairs, Department of Cooperation and Development, Center for Training Quality Assurance) and surveyed the physical facilities (including: facilities serving the official survey of the Accreditation Team, facilities serving the 3 training programs).
The Head of the Accreditation Team, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong, shared her joy at returning to the university and accompanying the institution during this accreditation process. The team leader also stated that after surveying the facilities, the team found that the Accreditation Team's office; the interview rooms for relevant parties; the waiting room for interviewees; the room/hall for the preliminary report of the accreditation survey results, the opening and closing ceremonies; the offices, classrooms, auditoriums, laboratories, and common areas all met the required standards. The Accreditation Team also noted several points that need improvement: the internet system to ensure online interviews with relevant parties; the scientific organization of supporting documents to facilitate the work of the official evaluation team; and the addition of missing information in some links.
The Head of the Accreditation Team, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong, highly appreciated the thoughtfulness and enthusiasm from the School's leadership, functional departments, and faculties.
Associate Professor Tran Thi Hong emphasized that the highest goal of the survey and evaluation is to provide the most valuable recommendations to help the University improve and enhance the quality of its training programs, for the sake of the quality of education in general. Therefore, we sincerely hope that the University and the faculty members in the departments will cooperate, coordinate, share honestly and frankly, and create conditions for the team to complete its task quickly, effectively, and achieve the set goals.

| As a core unit of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) has always been a pioneer in accreditation and improving the quality of education. To date, VNU-USSH has 12 programs accredited according to AUN-QA standards and 15 programs accredited according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training. At the end of December 2023, the university continued to accredit three more programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training (Information Management, Information - Library Science, and Tourism and Travel Service Management). |
