Sunday - March 23, 2025 23:30
(VNE) The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, Hanoi, applies AI to teaching, opens new majors and equips students with soft skills to help them expand their job opportunities. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector, shared the above information at the Job Fair - Connecting Employers, on the morning of March 23.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan said that technology in general and AI (Artificial Intelligence) in particular are currently considered a challenge, even a threat to many industries and professions. The school is aware of this but believes that this is a supporting technology, difficult to replace humans in some fields.
To enhance students' capacity and adaptability, the school proactively changes by integrating and using technologies, platforms, software, and recently AI, into teaching, research, and social and community services.
"Since 2020, when digital skills for the labor market were not yet widely discussed, the school has been working with a technology corporation to research the application of this skill to learners," said Professor Tuan. "Over the past year, the school has continued to build artificial intelligence skills for students."

According to Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, the school's industry structure has been completed. However, social requirements in some fields are interdisciplinary. In recent years, the school has opened new programs or majors, such as this year's Human Resource Management, Multimedia Communications, based on the Journalism and Communications, and Management Science majors.
The field of Journalism and Communication is facing great challenges, but in recent times, the content and training methods have been combined between traditional journalism and the application of digital transformation technology. Thanks to that, graduates can work in the field of journalism or communication, digital communication for a long time.
"The new industry of Multimedia Communications is just a methodological concretization of successfully converted content," Professor Tuan explained.
In addition to professional knowledge, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan believes that schools must be responsible for training students in skills to meet the needs of businesses. In addition to the main subjects, the school has a Soft Skills course with three credits, teaching students about information analysis skills, foreign languages, research methods, etc.
Recently, the school has also included other skills in this subject such as leading, organizing, leading, managing, organizing events, organizing programs, writing scripts, reception... to give students more job opportunities.
The school also works closely with partners, not only in recruitment but also in program development, evaluation surveys, and annual program adjustments.
