Methods of teaching Vietnamese to foreignersSpeaking at a meeting for lecturers of Cuu Long University, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, shared that, stemming from the responsibility and mission of Hanoi National University, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has implemented many projects to carry out the major policies of the Party and Government on preserving and promoting the cultural values, traditions, and languages of the nation, including training and fostering Vietnamese language teaching methods for overseas Vietnamese. The University has been trusted and selected by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the specialized unit to organize annual training.

Over the years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Cuu Long University have had many effective collaborative activities in training and research, especially in implementing the training course "Methods of Teaching Vietnamese to Foreigners".
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, shared this at the certificate awarding ceremony for the training course "Methods of Teaching Vietnamese to Foreigners".
Expressing gratitude for the valuable support and companionship of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung - Vice Rector of Cuu Long University - recalled the first training course jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Cuu Long University in 2005. Since then, the two institutions have had cordial and substantive collaborative activities. The achievements in Vietnamese language training at Cuu Long University have been greatly contributed to by VNU-USSH.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung also expressed his hope that the two universities would continue to cooperate and provide practical and effective support to improve the quality of their faculty in teaching Vietnamese to foreigners.

Training course on Vietnamese teaching methods for foreigners by
Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language,The University of Social Sciences and Humanities directly implements for lecturers of Cuu Long University, organized from September to December 2024 with 32 students.
The training course aims to provide learners with fundamental knowledge of Vietnamese phonetics, vocabulary, and grammar; to train learners in methods of teaching Vietnamese phonetics, vocabulary, and grammar, as well as methods for teaching Vietnamese listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills; and to teach how to prepare lessons, design lectures, design language programs (which may incorporate cultural elements), and design exercises to correct errors made by native speakers.
Students received certificates after 2 months of studying the training course "Methods of teaching Vietnamese to foreigners"
