The National Excellent Student Team of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities is excited and confident before the competition day.

On January 3, 2024, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities (KHXH&NV), under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, held an incense offering ceremony and launched the National Excellent Student Team for the 2023-2024 school year at the School's Tradition Room.
Attending the ceremony were Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities), teachers, Heads of Departments, teachers in charge of the National Excellent Student Team in Literature, History, Geography; representatives of the Parents' Association and 15 students in the teams: Literature, History, Geography.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong affirmed: the students have every right to be proud as excellent students representing more than 500 excellent students of the High School for the Gifted participating in a very important exam for high school students nationwide, which is the basis for assessing the quality of talent training of the High School for the Gifted. The excellent students have passed the very difficult entrance exam, surpassing thousands of other candidates to become students of the first and only specialized high school in the country to train in Social Sciences and Humanities and is part of the ecosystem of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with a tradition of nearly 80 years. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong would like to thank the teachers for their dedication, as well as the parents who have always given their attention and the best conditions for their children during their time studying at the school.
Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong expressed her hope that with that pride, with the knowledge and courage that the teachers have equipped the students with, and with their own outstanding efforts, the students will be confident, calm and highly focused to complete the exam excellently, bringing glory to themselves, their families and the School.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities) also shared: Today, teachers and students of the High School for Gifted Students are honored and proud to hold an incense offering ceremony at the Traditional Room of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to report to President Ho Chi Minh and the martyrs who are cadres and students of Hanoi National University who joined the army to protect the Fatherland. Although the High School for Gifted Students has only been established for nearly 5 years, it has achieved brilliant achievements in the excellent student competitions at the VNU-Hanoi level as well as at the national level. This success is due first of all to the attention and support of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the teaching and training efforts of the teachers, especially the teachers in charge of the team, the companionship of all parents and the utmost and outstanding efforts of the students. On behalf of the Board of Directors, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu would like to express his deep gratitude to teachers, parents and students for their companionship, support and efforts.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu shared: 2 years ago, each team of the school only had 2 students, but this year there are 5 students/team. The high achievements of the Team this year will be the basis for classifying and increasing the number of participating students for next year. This is both an honor and a responsibility for the students representing the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities to participate in this year's Excellent Student Competition.But I believe that with what you have learned, with the determination and encouragement of teachers and parents, you will complete your tasks excellently, contributing to adding more glory to the golden record of achievements of the High School for the Gifted and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities." - Principal Nguyen Quang Lieu advised.

Student Pham Thanh Ngan (Grade 12 Literature) on behalf of all the students of the team sent deep thanks to the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities and the teachers who always cared and helped. Thanh Ngan shared: “At the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, we not only cultivate in-depth knowledge, scientific and effective learning skills, but also receive from the teachers the courage and noble humanistic spirit. Today, we are here, honored to represent all the students of the School to participate in an exam that for us is the only experience in our lives, so we will try our best to do the exam with all our knowledge, spirit, and determination, so that when we leave the exam room, we will have no regrets”.

* 2021-2022 school year: the first year with a team participating in the National Excellent Student Competition, but the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities has achieved great success with 4/6 students winning prizes (one of whom is a new 11th grader), including three second prizes and one third prize.
At the VNU Olympic competition, the school's teams won 48 prizes in a total of 4 subjects, including 3 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 14 third prizes and 21 consolation prizes.
* 2022-2023 school year: in the second year, the School's team had 6 students participating, of which 3/6 students won prizes, with 1 second prize, 1 third prize and 1 consolation prize.
At the VNU Olympic competition, the number of prizes increased to 66 in a total of 04 participating subjects, including 03 first prizes, 14 second prizes, 24 third prizes and 25 consolation prizes.
All students who win prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition and the VNU Olympic Competition will be given priority for admission to schools inside and outside VNU (according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and VNU).

Wishing all students in the National Excellent Student Team of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Social Sciences and Humanities to complete their exams excellently and win many high prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition taking place on January 5 and 6, 2024.
