Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities), heads of departments, teachers in charge of the national excellent student teams in Literature, History, and Geography; representatives of the Parents' Association, and 15 students from the Literature, History, and Geography teams.

Speaking at the send-off ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong affirmed that the students have every right to be proud to be outstanding students representing over 500 excellent students from the Specialized High School participating in a very important exam for high school students nationwide, which serves as a basis for evaluating the quality of talent training at specialized high schools. These outstanding students have overcome a very challenging entrance exam, surpassing thousands of other candidates to become students of the first and only specialized high school in the country training in social sciences and humanities, and part of the ecosystem of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with a rich tradition of nearly 80 years. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong expressed gratitude to the dedicated teachers and parents who have always shown concern and provided the best conditions for their children throughout their time studying at the school.
Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong expressed her hope that, with that pride, with the knowledge and skills that the teachers have equipped the students with, and with their own outstanding efforts, the students will be confident, calm, and highly focused to complete the exam excellently, bringing glory to themselves, their families, and the school.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong sends her best wishes to all the students in the team, wishing them good health, a calm and confident attitude, and excellent performance in their exams.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities) also shared: "Today, the teachers and students of the High School for Gifted Students are honored and proud to hold a ceremony to offer incense at the Traditional Room of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to report our achievements to President Ho Chi Minh and the martyrs who were cadres and students of Hanoi University who served in the military and defended the Fatherland. Although the High School for Gifted Students has only been established for nearly 5 years, it has achieved brilliant results in the excellent student competitions at the Vietnam National University and the National level. This success is due first and foremost to the attention and support of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the teaching and training efforts of the teachers, especially those in charge of the teams, the companionship of all the parents, and the outstanding efforts of the students." On behalf of the Board of Directors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu expressed his deepest gratitude to the teachers, parents, and students for their companionship, support, and efforts.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu shared: "Two years ago, each team from our school only had two students, but this year there are five students per team. The high achievements of this year's team will serve as a basis for classification and increasing the number of participating students next year. This is both an honor and a responsibility for the students representing the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities in this year's gifted student competition."

Pham Thanh Ngan (12th grade, Literature major) expressed her deepest gratitude on behalf of all the students in the team to the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, and the team leaders for their constant care and support. Thanh Ngan shared: “At the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, we not only receive in-depth knowledge and effective, scientific learning skills, but also have been instilled with courage and a noble humanistic spirit by our teachers. Today, we are here, honored to represent all the students of our school in a competition that is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us. Therefore, we will do our best to complete the exam with all our knowledge, spirit, and determination, so that we will have no regrets when we leave the exam room.”

The students in the National Excellent Student Team of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities were very happy and honored to receive gifts from Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong.

* In the 2021-2022 academic year: the first year the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities had a team participating in the National Excellent Student Competition, but it achieved brilliant success with 4 out of 6 students winning awards (one of whom was only in 11th grade), including three second prizes and one third prize. At the Vietnam National University Hanoi Olympic competition, the university's teams excelled, winning 48 awards across the four subjects they participated in, including 3 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 14 third prizes, and 21 consolation prizes. * In the 2022-2023 school year: for the second year, the school's team of 6 students participated, and 3 out of 6 students won prizes, including 1 second prize, 1 third prize, and 1 consolation prize. At the Vietnam National University Hanoi Olympic competition, the number of awards increased to 66 across the four subjects, including 3 first prizes, 14 second prizes, 24 third prizes, and 25 consolation prizes. All students who win prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition and the Hanoi National University Olympiad are given priority in admission to universities within and outside Hanoi National University (according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi National University). |
