Sharing the achievements in training and scientific research of the University in 2023, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized: “In the general context of higher education facing the challenge of enrollment, maintaining and improving the quality of training, especially postgraduate training, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is very proud to have exceeded the enrollment targets set by the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in both quantity and quality. Many of the University's training programs have achieved quality accreditation according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training and AUN-QA.”
Over the past two years, despite facing numerous difficulties and pressures due to changes in training regulations and the Covid-19 pandemic, the postgraduate students and doctoral candidates have made every effort to complete and excel in their studies. Their achievements are a source of pride for the University and contribute to affirming the correctness of the strategy of prioritizing quality as the philosophy and breakthrough in training. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his hope that all master's and doctoral graduates will foster a spirit of self-learning and lifelong learning, building upon their current academic achievements, and arranging their work and time to pursue higher education. Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities offer many postdoctoral scholarships and 32 doctoral programs (including 31 currently available and one additional Doctor of Cultural Management program officially opening in 2024). Therefore, the University warmly welcomes master's graduates to the next level of study.

Rector Hoang Anh Tuan congratulated and commended the new PhD and Master's graduates.
During the graduation ceremony, the Rector also presented awards to PhD and Master's graduates who achieved outstanding academic and research performance.

As one of the outstanding PhD graduates, newly minted Doctor Chu Cong Hung (in Oriental Studies) shared a touching story about his time studying at the University on behalf of all PhD and Master's degree holders: “Standing on this prestigious stage today, I am extremely happy and moved. Both my wife and I have officially received our PhD degrees from Vietnam’s leading university in training and research in the field of social sciences and humanities. Studying for a PhD was incredibly difficult and challenging, and while it was hard enough for one person, it was even harder for a family where both husband and wife were studying, making the difficulties even greater. There were many times we felt discouraged, even considering giving up. But with our own determination, the encouragement of our families, the support of our workplaces and colleagues, and especially the dedicated and devoted support from the University, the faculty, and our supervising professors, we overcame everything to reach this glorious day.” On behalf of all the new PhD and Master's graduates, I would like to express our deepest gratitude for your support and encouragement. With what the professors at Hanoi University of Humanities have imparted to us, we are completely confident in our professional knowledge and capabilities to perform our jobs well and contribute even more to society.”

Newly graduated Doctor Chu Cong Hung, on behalf of all the new PhD and Master's graduates, presented a beautiful bouquet of flowers as a token of gratitude to the School's leadership, teachers, and staff.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities congratulates and sincerely thanks all the new PhD and Master's graduates for choosing Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities as the place to fulfill their dreams of conquering the highest level of knowledge and pursuing their passion for scientific research. As 2024 approaches, we wish all of you and your families a new year filled with health, happiness, and success, and we hope to see you again soon in your next academic and professional endeavors.
