With the aim of commending and recognizing young staff, students, and pupils who have achieved outstanding results in the emulation movement of learning, teaching, scientific research, and training, on December 7, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) organized the "Ceremony to Commend Outstanding Young People at the Institutional Level in 2023".
Attending the awards ceremony were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector); heads of departments; Chairman of the Trade Union, Secretary of the Youth Union, President of the Student Union of the University and 165 outstanding young people at the grassroots level in 2023, including 12 staff members, 32 high school students and 121 university students.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan extended his warmest congratulations to the 165 staff members, lecturers, students, and pupils who were nominated by their respective units to become the Outstanding Young Faces of the entire university in 2023. On this occasion, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan also shared many positive news about the achievements the university has attained in all fields recently, and affirmed: “Despite the general difficulties faced by the education sector after the Covid-19 pandemic, the university has fundamentally achieved its set goals. This achievement is the result of the utmost efforts of both teachers and students. The university especially commends and praises the outstanding young staff members, students, and pupils who have made significant progress in their studies, teaching, and scientific research, contributing importantly to the overall success of the university. The teachers and students are truly beautiful notes creating a harmonious symphony called Hanoi Humanities. Thank you to all the teachers and students for your support.” that contribution."
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his hope that the teachers and students would continue to strive for even greater achievements in the coming year, and together build a more progressive and developed school.
On behalf of the Outstanding Young Faces of 2023, Hoang Anh Tu (a student majoring in Hotel Management) emotionally shared: “At this moment, I am extremely proud to represent the outstanding young faces honored in 2023 and stand on this stage to share my feelings and thoughts. For me personally, as well as for all the students, the title of Outstanding Young Face of the entire university is a great honor and a prestigious title. This is not only a recognition and commendation of our excellent academic and training achievements, but also a motivation for us to continue participating in more activities that benefit the community and society. To achieve this joy and honor, in addition to the efforts of each staff member, student, and pupil, we have received the companionship, support, and close cooperation of the university, teachers, and senior students. Hoang Anh Tu, representing the outstanding young people of VNU-USSH in 2023, delivered a speech at the ceremony.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan presented the Certificate of Outstanding Young Person at the grassroots level in 2023 to 12 young staff members of the school.
Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong presented Certificates of Outstanding Young People at the grassroots level in 2023 to 32 students from the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities and 121 students from 17 training units.
