Paying tribute to generations of teachers and welcoming new students of the K68 Tourism Studies program at the FTS Show Symphonie.

On November 17, 2023, the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), enthusiastically organized the FTS Show titled “Symphonie” (Symphony), to express gratitude to generations of teachers on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day, November 20, and to welcome new students of the K68 cohort.
The program was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Ta Thi Bich Ngoc - Secretary of the University's Youth Union, and Mr. Duong Tat Thanh - President of the University's Student Association.
The program is honored to welcome former and current faculty members of the Department, visiting lecturers, and many generations of students, including postgraduate students, graduate students, and undergraduate students of the Department of Tourism Studies.
The Faculty of Tourism Studies is also honored to welcome partner organizations, companies, and sponsors of the program.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Long - Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies - expressed his sincere gratitude to the University's Board of Directors, departments/centers, generations of staff and lecturers, as well as partner organizations... for their continuous support in building the Faculty of Tourism Studies into a leading unit nationwide in training and research in the field of tourism studies.
Associate Professor Pham Hong Long, Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, shared his emotions at the ceremony honoring generations of lecturers and staff of the Faculty on Vietnamese Teachers' Day.
On behalf of the Party Committee and the School's Board of Directors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong expressed her delight at the achievements that the Faculty of Tourism Studies has attained in recent years, affirming the prestige and brand of a leading tourism training institution in Vietnam, making practical, high-quality, and effective contributions to the development of the country's tourism industry.

Established in 1995, shortly after the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi,Faculty of Tourism StudiesThe Faculty of Tourism Studies has defined its mission as being at the forefront of innovation, disseminating knowledge, and training high-quality human resources in tourism studies to serve the cause of national construction and development. It was the first institution nationwide to offer Master's degrees in Tourism Studies (in 2003) and Doctoral degrees in Tourism Studies (in 2018).
Over the past year, the Faculty of Tourism Studies has revised all its training programs from bachelor's to doctoral levels, focusing on research and constantly innovating teaching methods; establishing skills training centers to improve the quality of teaching in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and events to meet the high demands of society.
The Faculty of Tourism Studies has brought together a large number of leading research and teaching experts in the field of tourism. To date, the Faculty's scientific research activities have continuously developed in both quantity and quality, with approximately 1,000 scientific works published in scientific journals and conference proceedings both domestically and internationally. The Faculty's staff has also published more than 50 textbooks, lectures, and monographs, and led more than 30 scientific projects at various levels, which have been highly appreciated by units in the tourism industry and experts. The Faculty of Tourism Studies also organizes many domestic and international scientific conferences in the field of tourism. Every year, the Faculty organizes student scientific conferences and workshops and seminars for staff, thereby affirming the strengths and position of the Faculty in tourism scientific research in Vietnam.
The Dean and Vice Deans of the Faculty of Tourism Studies received a congratulatory flower arrangement from the school's Board of Directors.
 
 
 
Generations of students, alumni of the faculty, and partner organizations sent beautiful bouquets of flowers to express their gratitude to the teachers on November 20th.
 
The program continued with a talk show sharing experiences and career stories from faculty members and alumni, providing new students with valuable insights into future career paths. As a token of gratitude and to pass on lasting values ​​to the students of the Faculty, alumni awarded valuable scholarships to current students. This serves as a great source of encouragement for students to continue striving, contributing, and developing themselves.
 
 
The program was made even warmer with interesting and unique performances by students from the Faculty of Tourism Studies.
The performances from the participating teams brought their own unique colors and messages, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
