At the meeting, Prof. Pham Quang Minh expressed his gratitude for the enthusiastic help and support of the Ambassador and the Japanese Embassy in developing Japanese Studies at the School, as well as in building the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
Thanks to this enthusiastic support, many students of the School have received scholarships to study postgraduate at leading universities in Japan; have learned deeply about the culture and traditional arts of the Land of the Rising Sun in tea ceremony and calligraphy classes... taught directly by Japanese artisans in Vietnam... In November 2019, with the connection of the Embassy of Japan, the School signed a cooperation agreement on academic exchange with the Network of National Humanities Research Institutions of Japan. This network includes 6 Japanese research institutions: the National Museum of Japanese History, the National Institute of Japanese Literature, the National Institute of Japanese Language and Linguistics, the International Research Center for Japanese Studies, the Institute for Humanities and Nature, and the National Museum of Ethnology. Based on this document, the two sides will conduct joint research cooperation activities, human resource training, and exchanges between researchers in the fields of social sciences and humanities spanning many disciplines such as history, literature, language, culture, etc.
