At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh introduced the School's Internet and Society Research Program (VPIS). In recent years, VPIS and a number of other partners have implemented a number of cooperation projects with UNESCO, such as organizing the Vietnam Internet Forum 2017 in November 2017 and the "Data Journalism" training course in November 2018. With the motto of internationalizing research and training activities, the School wishes to continue implementing future cooperation projects with UNESCO.

Mr. Michael Croft highly appreciated the cooperation activities that the University has implemented with UNESCO. He said that UNESCO is very interested in the role of educational institutions in managing social changes. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities can be a reliable address to conduct research on social changes in Vietnam, in which journalism and communication are an important field. In the coming time, UNESCO will continue to support by connecting the University with more private partners, to carry out joint research and training projects. Then, cooperation can be expanded to other fields such as anthropology, sociology, etc.
The Internet and Society Research Program of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is an interdisciplinary research project that aims to clarify the impacts of the Internet on various aspects of life and society, and the converse impacts of society on shaping the future development of the Internet, in terms of Social Sciences and Humanities. The program has the following topics: Internet & Life, Internet & Media, Internet & Law - Public Administration, Internet & Education.
