Leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities received representatives from Aix-Marseille University (Republic of France).

Attending the reception were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector) and representatives from the Cooperation and Development Department, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, and the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management. Representing Aix-Marseille University (Republic of France) were Prof. Jean-François Marchi (Vice Director), Ms. Laure Gourdin (International Coordinator for Cooperation with Asia), and Ms. Ciara Hailloux (Head of the International Office).During the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong introduced the strengths of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in scientific research, collection, translation, and resource management. In addition, the university offers Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in archival studies, digitization, and resource management. Therefore, the potential for cooperation between the two universities is significant.
Professor Jean-François Marchi stated: Aix-Marseille University is one of the leading research universities in France, known for attracting the highest number of enrolled students. In 2014, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Aix-Marseille University signed a framework agreement. Since then, the two universities have signed numerous cooperation agreements and implemented very effective activities: faculty and student exchanges; organizing seminars;... Representatives from the Departments of Archival Studies and Office Management, and Oriental Studies proposed several specific areas of cooperation between the two universities: implementing a Master's program in Archival Studies and Digitization; organizing field trips for staff from Vietnamese archives to visit the Overseas Library in Marseille; co-organizing international conferences; and implementing research projects for joint publication.
Dr. Pham Hoang Hung (Head of Cooperation and Development Department) shared information about the Summer Course program organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, which will be implemented from the summer of 2023 for international students and trainees to learn about Vietnamese culture, language, and history.
Representatives from Aix-Marseille University welcomed and agreed with the proposals from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and committed to studying them and sending specific cooperation plans as soon as possible. Regarding the Summer Course program, Aix-Marseille University will send students currently studying in Vietnam to participate, both to improve their Vietnamese language skills and to learn about Vietnam's cultural traditions and history.
