Also attending the reception were representatives of the Faculty of Anthropology, the Department of Cooperation and Development and Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Hong Hai (lecturer of the Faculty of Anthropology). Speaking at the reception, Vice President Dao Thanh Truong introduced the strengths of training and scientific research of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the areas where the two sides can cooperate. Expanding international training and scientific research cooperation is one of the strategies that the University pays special attention to. Currently, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has cooperative relations with nearly 300 educational institutions in countries around the world. In today's meeting, the two sides will discuss key issues to sign a Memorandum of Understanding as a premise for effective cooperation in the future.
Dr. Silvia Barbotto and Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong discussed the contents of possible cooperation between the two sides.
Dr. Silvia Barbotto highly appreciated the position of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the Vietnamese higher education system and believed that the memorandum of understanding will be a premise to promote effective cooperation in scientific research and human resource development of both universities.
Representatives of the two sides discussed the principles and specific contents of cooperation:
- Organize research projects and initiatives of mutual interest;
- Exchange of teachers, researchers, postgraduate students, postgraduate students, students, administrative and technical staff;
- Share the use of laboratories, infrastructure, libraries, etc.;
- Send staff to participate in meetings, conferences, and seminars;
- Share information, scientific publications and other scientific and educational tools of common interest;
- Disseminate scientific results obtained from cooperation.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Rector Dao Thanh Truong thanked the University of Turin for choosing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a reliable partner to promote cooperation in training and scientific research. After today's meeting, the two sides will soon finalize the specific content and sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation based on the discussed and agreed contents.
